Fulham away 21st February 1998. I seem to remember Roy Carroll getting a yellow card for arguing with the referee. There were a few hundred Latics fans there but I went to same fixture in the following season. There were a lot more Latics fans there and I was asked by a couple of German tourists who were in the away end if it was a local derby!
There were a lot more the season before too when both teams were going for the promotion and title.

Fulham had a right back and left back that looked rather similar.
Anyway, the left back had been booked and hacked down a Wigan player. All the other Wigan players rushed in and during this the left back and right back switched wings and the wrong player was booked.
