calm down lad.
Never ceases to surprise me how often people trying to make themselves look clever only succeed in looking very, very foolish.
Ha ha, read the start of this thread and tell the mon who started it. Strange, he’s gone missing from this thread don’t you think.Maybe he is still wipng the egg off.
The Ribble is dropping off nicely btw.
If he/I only counted 40 on the coach he/I was either pi ssed or he/I can’t count.
The Ribble should be just right for a spot of wag and mag fishing this sunday.oh dear.
nowt worse than making a cant of yerself when trying to make a cant of someone else.blanked on the ribble today.
do you prefer barbed or semi-barbed?
It’s special milk, limited to the elete.
Do you prefer open, centre pin, multiplier or closed faced.?
ah, I thougt so, you’re not an angler after all are you lad?
don’t blame you at £3 a pint.
then……………
have your fingers worn out?
or did you go and riddle some maggots?
I hate rap, prefer tamla or soul.
Also prefer elips pellets to all others.
more of a guardian/independent man myself
now that made me laugh.
do you prefer braid or mono for piking?
LMB.
You are correct re. feeder casters, my local tackle dealer supplies me with shed fulls of old feeder maggots(for free), ideal in pupae form in my feeder mix. ;)
Hooks. After fishing The Ribble for over 40years, I think, no I know, which type of hook to use in any given area/situation. :PChurch Deeps for me tomorrow.River running off nicely.6lb. mainline. Open ended 30-45g feeder tactics on a medium length 4lb flouro link, paternoster style. Feeder packed with liqiudised bread, micro pellet, hemp, maggot and feeder casters. Two red maggots or punched bread as hookbait fished mid-river.16’s semi-barbless animal eyed hook. Expecting roach, chub and big dace. Lazy pike rod over shelf.
I hope the Ribble drops off before thursday, I fancy a session touch ledgering for chub with cheesepaste for bait, smelly baits work much better when there’s a couple of feet on.
Despite the conditions, I had two pike from Rivington Res. today. Best 13lb 14oz.
Both fell to freelined joey at 40m.Great, I’m pleased for you.
Did you prefer shirt button style or bulk shot well down? -
