Must say he wouldn’t be my choice either, but whoever DW picks we have to go with his choice and back the new Manager. After all DW is charged with running our club the best way he can, with the immediate aim of getting us back in the Premier league. Should it not work out DW can’t blame anyone else but himself.
Funny you should mention that, that was exactly what I was told at the Villa game, that the agreement was made after the Wembley final. The only difference was that Jonesy was staying as our Manager. That appers not to be so.
My my, that went well?, I nipped in once or twice during the debate and one or two interesting comments, quite a lot of shite as well, so I went to bed for a bit. Anyhow back to original topic, who do we think is the new favourite ?
Waits for a load of abuse!!!!!
Theres a lot of speculation doing the rounds at the moment, DW says he has no idea, but there is interest?. I cant believe DW hasnt got the Manager he wants firmly fixed in his mind and that the process is not underway. At the last home match, Coyle was sat behind us, also there was David Platt, now without a job, Rene Meulensteen now wants to leave United and Steve McClaren is also available. The only one of that lot I wouldnt want is Owen Coyle, I dont rate him and he has done similar trecherous tricks in the past, as Steve Bruce did to us.
Out of our past players I would love back at the club in some role or other is Lee McCulloch, but I dont know how far advanced he is with his coaching badges. So thinking about all of this, a couple of names stand out,McClaren with Meulensteen as coach, that would be my ideal choice, but then I am not holding the purse strings!!!!
Caldwell currently doing his coaching badges, so him as defensive coach ——oh shit!!!!!
It would appear to be working out exactly as I was told, this deal was sorted out over three weeks ago and Martinez compensation had been agreed and paid. The other piece of the jigsaw will be Graheme Jones being announced as replacement Manager, don’t know who will be his assistant. What I can’t understand is why all this messing about. Apparently Whelans hopes to have Manager in place in 10 days time, come on Dave don’t take us all for fools
Told by a very reliable source at match today that a deal has been done with Everton for Bobby, compensation has been paid and accepted. Jones is said to be taking over.
I am disappointed as I thought that if Bobby went we would replace with someone fresh, hope this wrong but I fear it isn’t . Lets just hope that Jonesy has some new ideas.
Spot on article and response from Lez, roll on next season, really looking forward to it.
