Christ we’ve won one game and your back at the DW faster than Flowers red card. Lol

            Like it! :P

The Fulham game is always one that I attend home and away as friends of my family are big fulham fans so we always get together for it! Top away ground/atmosphere as well!

I am attending the game on Saturday on a freebie in a box. Will I be classed as a supporter on Saturday or not? (just to clarify, I will be celebrating if Wigan score/win) :) :)  :woohoo: :woohoo:

Nothing wrong with supporting (going to watch!) both teams but if your not enjoying it then why attend every game.

                That’s what a supporter does.

I didn’t exactly enjoy division 3 but I still went to every game I could and that was when I was about 10 and could quite easily have stayed home to “support” a Premier League team.

Yes I was bored to tears on Saturday and Tuesday but I’m already counting down the days to the Fulham game at which I’ll probably complain that I’m bored.
So just to clarify, a supporter is only a “supporter” if he attends every game??

For what its worth I will be attending the Fulham game also!

5 or 6 competitive games a season is not my idea of VFM. I know lads who are warriors season ticket holders, but miss several home games because they will be over with after 15-20 mins.

I’ll admit I hate those type of games but no matter how bored I am at these I’ve never been as bored as I was on Saturday and Tuesday. The fact that I don’t recall the only “highlight” shown on Sky Sports from the Brentford game has led me to believe that I did indeed fall asleep.

Games against the lower sides in rugby league at least normally have the odd full length try or cracking team try to wake you up. Saturday and Tuesday had fuck all.

I’m not turning this into a rugby v football debate because there’s no point, but I’m pretty sure I’d have had more enjoyment from a chess match than our last two games at home and that is the problem that we have at the minute. We have next to no creativity whatsoever.
To all those having ago, hands up who attends every single latics game home and away??

Bet there aint many of you but does that make you any less of a supporter compared to somebody who does!

Griff, I don’t claim to be a top supporter who never misses. Like I said I have always followed both teams. But in my opinion it’s a two way street. You pay to watch and be entertained and judging by the gates there are several thousand fans who are doing the same. For what it’s worth I actually gave up my season ticket three years ago when we were still in the prem. As for the punches at old trafford yes it was a truly disgusting act which ruined a great day, paying 120 quid for three tickets I felt cheated to be honest but it doesn’t just happen in rugby. I was at DW when macmanaman nearly knee capped the Newcastle player, when Duncan Ferguson punched scharner, when lee mculloch smashed Chris Morgan in the face and at Springfield park when Graeme Jones butted an opposition player!

Totally agree with the lack of quality on show and unfortunately it is starting to turn supporters away. I have always supported both the latics and the warriors but always attended far more latics games. However now I find myself enjoying the rugby far more and so does my daughter, so we now attend the rugby more as we feel we get far more value for money entertainment. Went to Old Trafford for the grand final the other week and spoke to quite a few other supporters (Both Wigan and St Helens) who were doing the same. But I don’t suppose the overpaid latics lot will give two hoots about the decline in support!!

                        I hope QPR win.

                        I hate them, you see.

And so I’d rather we played Derby next season, and let QPR flounder in the Premier League, waste money, suffer embarrassing defeats, and sack the buffoon before Christmas.

Surely if you hate them you would sooner Derby win?! If QPR are not promoted this season
then thay are in for financial meltdown. I am sure I read somewhere that their wage bill is bigger than their turnover and bigger than Borrusia Dortmunds wage bill!

We have plenty of our own dickhead fans. I was in block 106 and some complete tit about five rows in front spent the entire game picking fights with people and goading what he thought were Millwall fans. That was until some bloke nearer to him pointed out that the fans he was pointing at were in fact Wigan fans! The pillock was that drunk and off his face on something that he thought the fans to his left were Millwall! After about 70 mins this was finally pointed out to him but needless to say two minutes later the brain dead moron had forgotten and carried on. Good job me , the wife and my daughter weren’t nearer to him cos fighting may well have broken out in the Wigan end as well!!!

Its a semi-final two hundred miles away against a Championship team with thuggish fans, and we have a great chance of reaching the final to play either the Premier league champions or the European champions. Add to that, that currently the UK is experiencing probably the worst recession of all times!! Said when the draw was made I would be delighted if we sold 20k tickets!

Always amuses me about the “Miracle of Istanbul” in 2005.

So Liverpool go three goals down in the first half, but then “miraculously” and “with inspired play” pull three back in the second half and win on penalties.

This all against a team that shortly afterwards was implicated in 2006 in all sorts of dodgy dealings of match fixing – that had been going on for some time. Needless to add that Berlusconi was the club owner.

But somehow the final was whiter than white.

                                Yep. I believe that.

You honestly think that millionaire footballers would throw the biggest
club game in European football for a few extra quid?!

I am sure they would sooner have a Champions League medal!

On that basis could our 3-2 comeback wins at home to Arsenal and West Ham not be looked at as suspicious??

We were never in either game and were 2-0 nil down in both then someting changed! ;)

They have sold their allocation which could be say 2,600 (half the stand). Doesn’t mean they have sold the end out!
