listened to the game yesterday on wish (yes you can get it in runcorn) & watched the game on football first. what i liked about the game was that there was passion, commitment & a seemingly willingness to want to play for the club, which i felt has been missing for some time. now beginning to wonder if a certain french international was to blame all along (as has been posted elsewhere).Thats what we want when a player puts a Tics shirt on, all we want is 100% of the player,if thers a player that is dragging the club down then its the managers job to sort it out,but you cant blame the French mon for the 9-1 at spurs,4-0 at arsenal, 4-1 at pompey,5-0 man utd,4-0 at bolton,and 8 nil at chelsea,its easy to blame one man.smell the coffee lad :roll: :roll: :roll:

I know what your saying but big dave as to take some of the blame, we are in a recession and he expects people from wigan to fork out £50 for two games in the space of a week, and after the first game, which floating supporter is going to turn up for the second game when its on the tv, he needs to take a look a the bigger picture and look at boros att, 14,000 for a massive club, Its not just a wigan problem its ahappening to every club attendances are dropping, All i have to say to whelan stop blaming the fans what turn up and put something good on show to get the floaters back, with or without martinez, still think martinez could come good with the right mangement team.I think that is bang on wat your saying ,only problem is if we replace barrow and jones i reckon bobby will spit the dummy,toys out the pram good style,but sumat has to be done rappid lets be honest leave it has it is, a big and dangerous risk.

It can’t get any worse at the moment: 0 points, -10 goal difference, worst start by any team in Premier League history.There’s still a handful of tough games, but I’m confident we’ll get at least a draw against Sunderland. If worst comes to it and we lose the next 3 games I’m sure there’ll have to be changes to the management, and from that we can start to play football instead of getting worse game-by-game.
One positive is that Spurs only have one fit striker, so there shouldn’t be another 9-1 battering!

I have always thought being a football manager was one of the most insecure jobs. Lose a few games and you may get sacked, the fans start having a go and you may get sacked.However we have a manager who took over a team that was more than comfortable in the premier lge. with a decent defence, and has transformed (we must have stopped transforming by now) it into abit of a joke. Letting goals in, in a frightening volume and hardly scoring any.
The only thing i can think of is that he was told to turn us from a decent team into a team easy to beat, he must have been told to buy some players not up to the job, and let other team score when they want to.
Because if his remit was to develop the team into a team challenging for Europe playing an exciting free flowing style of football he has failed, unless that is we are still transforming into it?
I remember a certain member of the current backroom staff, got sacked on sunday why having his tea,after a 6,2 thrashing,bet Mr Barrow wondering is Mr Whelan losing his marbles. :shock: :shock: :shock:
