I genuinely don’t know what the score is with old glass back? I read in another post that because of his shoulder/back he is not even doing proper goal keeper training? old glass back is crap now and ALI H as to be the 1st choice keeper from now on fingers crossed?
by the way Phil I have been to Goole away! not to watch the Latics but the Motors. FA trophy 2nd qualifying round in 1986 and The Motors won 0-1. Leyland motors got beat by Whitby Town in the next round. Eddie Gray was manager and Trevor cherry was in the nets for them or was it David Harvey? :?

Hi Bob where do you get the Ad Blocker add on from :?: [/quote]if your using fire fox just go in to tools at top of screen , its next to help. underneath downloads is add ons. type ad blocker in search add ons and it will come up. install it and then restart firefox and then them pesky flashing ads are a thing of the past :D

Give hime some time. I know a lot of people have said he had a full season here but he has had to deal with revolt, respect and a change in players, style and full management team.I will support Martinez as I have seen glimpses of what we could be. Its only time before the 30 minutes of great football grows to 90 minutes. Everyone in the game (manager included) think Bob is a good manager….and they know the game.
Slate me all you want but I don’t know a better manager who would come to this club and would be proud to manage Wigan Athletic.
yes yes whatever….. you see glimpses of good football for 30 minutes ( bob…. we have to take the positives and we played well for 35-40 minutes). a goal is scored by the team were playing and the team capitulates time and time again(bob in after match interview…..we have to be strong and learn blah blah blah(p1ss weak underbelly is what I call it). sick of it my self?. i will still go on come what may as its been in my blood for 28 years. the roaches are every where now and a thrashing at the lane on saturday? then I am afraid the sooner rento kill get called the better? :?

Lets start off with some blinders on here.
Crowds are poor coz we keep selling our best players…..FFS, if you plan on going to football games based on your best player then there is something wrong with you. I didn’t see Old Trafford’s attendances drop when they sold Ronaldo…get a grip!
We could have pushed for Europe….what! and done an Ipswich…I can see it now, Wigan v Besiktas, how many do you think we would get on considering we only got 14k on playing Chelsea in an FA cup game a few years back. Also extending the season by 8 games would have done wonders for our small squad.

Move out of the town…..yeah, because everyone in St. Helens and Warrington walk around with plain tee-shirts wondering which foorball team to support. It would be as bad as Wigan. In Warrington, nearly everyone wears Scouser top and I am sure it would be the same in St. Helens.
Martinez…….Everyone on here knows I am a Martinez supporter and I think he will do well this season…if people are staying away because of him then you are as mard as most in this wonderful town.
Everyones attendances are down, I work with a Mackem and a Gordie, their attendances are down around 10k because people are finding it hard to attend football matches. Middlesboro (who are twice the size of Latics) got 14k on for their match at the weekend. Some of my mates can’t afford a season ticket so are picking and choosing their matches. The thing with the Scousers and the Mancs is that if 5000 people don’t turn up, there is another 5000 who will….we don’t have that luxury (and a lot of teams don’t).
So stop winging, if you can afford it, get behind the boys and follow your passion. Like him or hate him, Martinez is here to stay at your club…the club you love and adore….COME ON YOU BLUES!!!

Was disappointed to see Whelan so emphatic in his support for Martinez, maybe rather than speak live he could have just issued a statement through Sky. However, if anyone expected him to say, RM is sacked if we lose the next 2/3 games in a live interview, then they are just being ridiculous.Oh and as for the comment about the WISH FM deal, that would just about sum up some of our so-called supporters in this town. If us having a deal with a local radio station is making such a different to the bone idle not getting off their backsides, then it really is time to give up on a number of “fans” in Wigan
