I entered and won a competition in a comic called whoopee in 1977 to win a peter Powell stunt kite?. I was one of the 100 lucky winners ?(big wow).while I was playing out as you do when your a 8 years old?, Mr stunt kite extraordinaire delivered in person his latest kite invention to my house. I was so gutted when my mum told me that I had missed Mr Powell delivering my prize in person honest :lol:
the ultimate enjoyment for me will be for them muppets to crow away when they come top of the super dooper league.they then play in a lets stretch this nonsense out a little more with a ridiculous play off for the top 8.they get beat! hopefully in the 1st game!!. Wigan Athletic is for life not just Christmas, ive seen us come up from non league and ill be here if we ever return to the same level again.I know this is a long shot but when I worked for lynx express in Leyland some people came from Nuneaton to work at Leyland to get the operation up and running.the main head quarters of lynx which is now U.P.S were based in Nuneaton. I remember working with this bloke called mark who had a lazy eye. he was a top bloke and we talked about football. he was a Coventry fan and I told him I was a latics fan. he told me that his next door neighbour was a latics fan?. is that you? how many Wigan athletic fans can there be in Nuneaton?. you must be the only one?
