I’m guilty of it by having a go at JR but after observing his behaviour in the last few weeks and me biting my lip while reading his nonsense I could not help my self any more. Arky does have a point,every thread turns into a lightside/darkside slugfest.your right mate and there are some moaning cunts who take it to another level but there are some members of the Light brigade who are just as bad as some of the so called dark side. I thought this was a really good article and more then likely the author was one of the very people you talk about John who used to post on the old site in the early days. A lot of the moaners about the team will also be the same people moaning about not being able to get a job, moaning that their job doesn’t cut it for them, not earning enough money etc etc.
Positivity gives your a positive outlook on live and things happen. If you walk around all day being negative each problem presented to you goes straight onto your shoulders and weighs you down, being positive allows you to shrug things off and keep going.
Wigan have a strange breed of fanbase, some are Ex-rugby and used to supporting a team always challenging for top honours, some are new fans (JCL) who only ever known Wigan Athletic as a winning / successful team and then there are the rest of us who have seen the bad times and are just glad we are now playing in the biggest league in the world.
For me if we do go down to the championship the worst thing that happens are 1) I will goto more away games 2) we win a few more games 3) we get to compete to get back up into the premier league.
When you look at it like that its easy to stay positive about things that go on, as being relegated will bring positive things.
People focus on the negative things too much!
very true and there are more important things in life then a Football team. what does my swede in on this board though is certain individuals who shout people down because they have a different opinion then them. last thing I want is the club to be relegated in my 30TH season watching them.I was delighted with the result on Saturday but I think the damage as been done already with the losing streak.I hope I’m wrong I really do.I found jrfatfans behaviour on here Saturday be be pathetic .He came on straight away when the full time whistle had blown throwing insults around left right and centre at people who have dared to even have a different opinion then him.
