No not Stam unfortunately, but Bosselli
If you don’t believe that Stam was the worst/laziest player on show for Latics last night I will have to revise my opinion of you.
Thought Stam was class for the first 8 mins., but then started to huff, puff and get caught out time and time again by the tricky winger Hines.
My mate has been harping on for weeks that Stam should be given a chance for the right wing back role, but after last nights match he has had 17 Boyce printed on the back of his shirt.

What a journey!I’m not wishing Bradford good luck in the next round they fekin robbed us of a result tonight,
I can’t believe you have said that, City played with a near reserve side like you did, One of our players has only ever made a sub appearance for us last season, and for as being robbed, no such thing, it was 11 men v 11 men, City players didn’t miss your chances, your Wigan players did, We came with a game plan of trying to contain you and it worked.
Now come on lad if you are a genuine football person are you telling me that if your team batter say dag and red and lose to a last minute goal you won’t feel robbed. Your game plan didn’t include getting the run around and the oposition having 5 or 6 sitters. Sorry but you did “Rob’ us but your in the hat we are not. The team put out by Wigan has wound up some of our CL friends but not me. It still looked 4 divs above a poor Bradford team but failed to take any of its chances. I usually am one for being wound up if oposing managers don’t give us credit when we’ve beaten his team but a reality check is needed here, on the balance of play did you deserve to win. ?From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Sorry Garswood I should have waited till today to respond to the wet pants brigade. Was just as anoyed about the defeat as anyone on here, but am too long in the tooth to spit mi dummy out everytime we lose. Everyone is entitled to their opinion without getting a tirade of verbals but it irks me to listen to the same old record from the sleeping darkside. There are some posters on here that I value their opinion, they can moan about performances without having the tone of hatred and can back up their views with sensible debate. There are others that are either Chubsters in disguise or are the offsprings of Victor Meldrew.
Oh and before I get back off my high horse just one more positive from last night, James Thur is available for the Spurs game. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!David Jones ! Are you having a laugh. Absolutely clueless. Got within 25 yards of their goal and either lost it or gave it away cheaply. He was appalling. That game tonight was a mirror image of the last 20 minutes of the game at Swansea the other week. 98% possession with not one clue what to do with it.
Yes we should have finished better, most notably Boselli and Gomez, but the fact is we didn’t. Yes we had 20-odd shots, but should have 60+ given the possession we had.
We cannot break teams down when teams sit back and concentrating on defending. It is very very frustrating.
Are you another mon that only shows his face when we’ve lost then?
I’ll say it again, Jones was superb and at the centre of everything good tonight. goodpostNot a clue what do do with the possession? I’ll tell you what we did, we created 6 or 7 gilt edge chances only to squander the fekin lot. on another day we score 5 or 6. Don’t tell me they were clueless, shyte finishing yes, clueless NO!

What a journey! Not for the display tonight.
Not for the result tonight.
Not for the tactics tonight.
Not for getting beat by a lower league team.
Simply for treating the fans and supporters of Wigan Athletic with contempt.
Three and a bit seasons of garbage and this year a chance of something to smile about and Bob puts out a team like that tonight.
With luck we may stay in this shoite league for another year but what a great chance thrown away by Clown Bob.
There are only 38 games in the Greed League. Is it too much these days to play the best team and give the fans sonething to cheer about for a change.
Anyone remember our club playing in The Northern Premier League? That meant so much for us fans to see us win it. Just as much as playing in the Greed League yet the team competed in the Lancs Junior Cup, Lancs Senior Cup,Premier League Cup, Ashworth Trophy,FA Trophy, FA Cup, North West Floodlight League and Floodlight League Cup plus more pre and post season friendlies and benefit matches.
On most occasions it was allways the strongest possible team.
You do what you feel is your best Bob but we need smiles again now lad.I wondered how long it would be before some stupid git would come out with the word clown.
Was he a clown when picking a side to beat both Forrest and West Ham away.
If you expected him to put 8 or 9 first teamers in there tonight, then it is you that is the clown!
Paul Jewell once told me that fans are great at picking teams after a game, how true was that comment. goodpostFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I suggest if you didn’t go to the game then shut the * up!
If you did go then you will have seen the biggest mauling ever witnessed in a football game, how did we not win that by 5 or 6, oh don’t bother……. shyte finishing.
Who was moaning when we beat Forrest and West Ham having rested key players, not one of you shower of tworts.
I’m fuming with that result but that team was more than good enough to beat a Bradford team that didn’t look on the same planet never mind league.
I’m not wishing Bradford good luck in the next round they fekin robbed us of a result tonight, plucky? not in the least, we squandered more chances than we have created in our opening 9 premier league matches, Bradford were woeful.
Sour grapes? no not even close, they had one or two break away chances with just 2 shots on target.
I’ll take a few positives from the game before Bobby beats me to it. Young Redmond looked very impressive, may have another Bainsy in the making there and I can see some progression in Fyvie although he looks to be carrying a bit of excess. The best player on the pitch by a country mile was David Jones, great on the ball and a good eye for a pass.
Now back over to you moaning tvvats!
PS lord of the pies lets see who has the best average crowd at the DW for yet another season. Roll back under your stone you smelly, spotty face wazurk. :P

What a journey! My missus thought I looked like Stuart Pearson who played for united in the 70’s, being a keen united fan that’s what attracted her to me.
32 years of marriage later she says I now look like Jimmy Greaves. :(
I’ll take looking like Tom Gill if I reach 100!

What a journey!I don’t think the fine was given because of the morals behind the kick it out campaign. He didn’t inform his boss or the club that pays him a shed load of money a week that he wasn’t going to wear it. If you don’t tell your boss that you are going to wear a tutu for work tomoz he’d be a bit anoyed. Just a couple of weeks wage fine for not keeping your employers informed of what you are going to do or not going to do in the public domain is not unreasonable.

What a journey!Unfortunately that’s the problem with being a small club like us, nobody in Wigan is interested in watching Bradford City. They will turn out in numbers for the West ham game tomorrow then take a break until the West Brom game. If we progress to the quarters and get a prem side at home that might stir one or two up.
Expect to see 6 or 7 of our better players rested on Tuesday, but should still be enough in the tank to make it a good game.By the way I don’t want to sound patronising, but we know what its like to hear a loud boisterous crowd, being that the likes of Man U, Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle etc etc also sell out their allocation at the DW. There is also usually loads outside the ground who have no ticket just turning up for the off chance.
Have a great night out next Tuesday, I quite like Bradford with the Bobby Campbell, Mike Flynn and Paul Jewell links. goodpost

What a journey!Oh go on I’ll give you the proper answers seeing that one Latics mon I work with has been pestering me the last couple of days to spill the beans :-
1) From were you was sat in the stand yesterday looking at the pitch were was their annoying drummer located?.
Ans to the left, in the corner of the stand. :angry:2)Did you have to sit in your seat on the ticket or could you sit anywhere?.
Ans You had to sit in your season ticket seat even though there were 600 seats for 400 fans :blink:3)What did the steward standing at the top of the steps as you entered the stand have on his head?
Ans A Trilby. :lol:4)What happened at the end of the game as we trudged from the stand towards the concourse.?
Ans From what I could see, one of our lads just jumped over a barrier to get to the exit, got skull dragged by an heavy handed steward, thus causing a bit of tit for tat fisty cuffs until the cops intervened, with their even heavier handed tactics, whilst one of um filmed it on a video camera stuck on the end of a long pole. :woohoo:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Sudders have a bash at these questions.
1) From were you was sat in the stand yesterday looking at the pitch were was their annoying drummer located?.
2)Did you have to sit in your seat on the ticket or could you sit anywhere?.
3)What did the steward standing at the top of the steps as you entered the stand have on his head?
4)What happened at the end of the game as we trudged from the stand towards the concourse.?
You can tell me to fek orf and say you don’t have to answer these questions but I will take it that you definitely didn’t go yesterday.
I’ll have a go at it, i love a quiz.
1) I love drumming, so there was no annoying drummer.
2) I could sit anywhere, except on Bobbys knee, which given the fact that I had travelled all that way was a disappointment
3) A seagull
4) An angel appeared and told us all not to worry, as the season only starts in May, and that Bobby is in fact using tactics based on the art of deception and trickery, a method used in ninja warfare, and proven to work in premier league survival battles, don’t believe me? Just look at the way some of our players become ‘invisible’………… Ninjas ( taps side of nose with finger)
4 out of 4, what do I win? And do I get a bonus for not using any naughty words?
No you get exactly what’s in-between yer ears….fekin nowt.

What a journey! If you watched today’s game you will have noticed that Ashley Cole was being skinned all through the 90 mins. I lost count of the times other players pulled him out.
This fella also had the same view as me; B)
