I was was sat behind Graham Jones and Graham Barrow at the Soccer Aid game at OT on Sunday.
Is it a coincidence that they both left after 23 mins when Roy Keane hobbled off injured?.

Now me thinks they either shot off to give him a free season ticket for the west Stand next season, or they were checking him playing in the sweeper type role to see if he can fit snugly behind Antolin and Garry.

Not sure which odds your looking at. Bobby is 7-2 and Rodgers now as low as 1-6.

I believe the key to DW’s infamous warchest was nicely tucked away in the inside pocket of Bobbys jacket, that he clod into the middle of the 1700 or so fans stood behind the goals at the Brit following the great escape.
I wasn’t lucky enough to catch it, but there are some notable posters that suddenly went AWOL from this website.

Here we go again, how has Whelan changed his mind???.

These are the noises being made by Whelan from day one.

                  – Martinez in his opinion is the best young manger in Europe and will one day manage a big club.

                  – He will not step in the way of Bobby if a big club comes calling.

                  – Liverpool have asked for permission to speak with Martinez

                  – Martinez flies out to miami from Barbados to speak met with Liverpool owners

                  – Whelan confirms that Bobby has been offered the job, but there is an issue about Bobby wanting full control of the playing side and they want a Director football.

                  – Bobby has taken a few days to consider the offer and perhaps hold further talks.

                  – Whelan then says Bobby is returning from Barbados to meet with Liverpool again tomorrow. At this meeting, as Whelan has said, they will discuss Bobby’s role and that of the director of football to see if there is any compromise.

                  – Whelan then says that he wants a decision by Thursday so that he can plan for a new manager if Bobby goes.

                  – All through the above developments DW has reiterated that he would love Bobby to stay at Wigan.

That’s what’s come out of the horses mouth to SSN and to WISH FM. There have been no press releases by anyone else at the club only to confirm that there are no plans to hold a press conference at the DW tomorrow.

Where in all that has DW changed his mind?

The only circus going on here are the ones started by the media and impatient fans from both Wigan and Liverpool.
I think we all know what the crack is, DW has said it enough times over the past couple of days, but I’ll spell it out again for you.

Liverpool have offered Bobby the managers job.
Bobby wants full control of football matters at Liverpool, but they want a Director of Football to take care of talent spotting and transfer selection.

So there is another meeting planned for Tuesday, whereby either one of the parties backs down and meets the full terms of the other or, both parties agree to meet half way, or the deal is dead in the water and Bobby returns to the fold at Wigan, to get on with making plans for next season.

DW has also said he wants a decision from Martinez by Thursday so he can start the recruitment process.

So if you want to trawl the websites like News-now and other media rumour mungering sites, then that’s up to you, but don’t come back on here moaning about this situation being like a circus.

Just wait to see what happens some time between tomorrow and Thursday and it will be announced on SSN first, like it always his.

I can’t understand in these end of contract malarkeys, why the player and club can’t agree say another 3 year contract, under the proviso that the player is allowed to leave when club come knocking. A sort of thank-you from the player to the club for dragging them out of obscurity and giving them an opportunity of going on show in the prem league.
If all these clubs that are being banded about are interested in Diame, I’m sure we could have squoze £4-£5m out them. That way the player gets what he wants and club at least recoup some brass back. goodpost
