I think its totally the wrong decision putting that miserable git in charge. The one thing you need in that job is a bit of personality / character and he has zilch.
I also can’t understand how people think he is a successful international manager. OK he got Switzerland a bit of success by getting to the last 16 of the 1994 world cup, but look at his international record games played v games won, its not that good at bang on 50% win ratio.. :woohoo:

Switzerland record (major games only): P: 22 W:12 D:6 L:4
UAE record (major games only): P:12 W:6 D:2 L:4
Finland record (major games only): P:14 W:6 D:6 L:2

I had to laugh at Steven Gerrard’s interview on SSN today when commenting on Roys appointment. He looked like he was sucking on a pair of dead tramp’s y fronts. If he had the guts to say he is shyte, he would have I’m sure.
The biggest job he’s tackled in his career is Liverpool and we all know how that went. The FA want hanging for this decision the pompous set of fools.

That is one of the worst posts I have seen on this forum and from one of the board’s most rose-tinted specs, optimistic, stalwart posters. Just proves how blinkered and tunnel-visioned he is.

To put Hodgson’s record into numbers without context is totally hypocritical in line with fat fan’s view of Roberto Martinez. Roy Hodgson’s international sides have possibly played far higher standard opponents than their own ranked level. His record is far better at international level, pro-rata, than Martinez’s record with us against like for like opposition.

Cracking appointment, much rather have Hodgson than Redknapp.

4-1 Spurs, btw :)
You’ve all come in your boxer shorts again boys!

Can anyone point out in my post were I’ve said Redknapp should have the job and yet some of you are using that to ridicule my post.

I don’t need anyone to convince me about Hodgeson’s appointment I just think he is one boring Bastad, with the same likeability factor as Rodney fekin Marsh.
I didn’t like mentioning his comments after the Wigan cup tie all those years ago, cos I’ve already allured to it in another post, but I have never forgot that day as it nearly caused me to crash my car, I was that wound up driving home from Ewood.

As for reference to the Sun’s article then fool those for taking on board what that shower of shyte printed, they’ve been ridiculing anyone famous including every English manager since it first hit the streets. Its got the reaction from some silly gits they wanted, talk about reel you in.

I’ve always known that there are some very nieve posters on here, especially the Martinez out possy.

Anyway guess what boys and girls, I’ll be 100% behind “Woy” for the Euros and forthcoming world cup. However, It will not change my opinion of him as a person. :P

Nowt to brag about, we moan when opposition fans get tickets in our end. :P

I can never understand why fans, particularly season ticket holders, fail to get tickets knowing the importance of the game. The same happened last year at Stoke. Get down as soon as they go on sale and get them snug and safe in your back jax.

I take it you won’t be showing much emotions as the game develops. :woohoo:
We tried to get tickets in the away end online on Sunday but the site was down, and couldn’t get to Wigan on Monday morning before they were sold out.

We don’t make a habit of going in the home end, Old Trafford and St Andrews being the others, but we thought we would give it a try what with having PR post codes.

As for showing emotion, yes they may have to be toned down a little bit, but by the end, if all is well, my emotions and colours will well and truly be shown.

Sorry if it offends anyone, but it had to be done. Hopefully there will be a few more of us.
That result keeps city interested for their at last game at home against QPR. Any other result and they may have just clod the towel in. :woohoo:

……..but I’ve just looked in my diary and noticed that May 7th and 13th haven’t been removed from 2012.

I, too, have been guilty of a little bit of hearty ‘backslapping’ over the last couple of days but this euphoria needs tempering (just a tad)and Roberto and the lads need to focus on the next game thus ensuring that the great party atmosphere on the last day won’t be turned into a nail biting drama.

Steady as she goes…………

I honestly think if we can avoid 2 bashings in our last two games I still think we will be safe on goal difference, even with 2 defeats.
On current form I cannot see Blackburn beating Chelsea at SB or QPR beating City away. I see what you mean though. :woohoo:

I have not posted on here for a good while as I couldn’t get my head around all the Martinez supporters as he was pathetic and I believed he was taking us down without a fight!

I wanted a change in formation and some commitment and it was never looking like coming.

Since March, I have no idea what has gone on but the players are putting their all in, manager is passionate and we look like a proper football team and I can’t believe I am saying it but we play proper football now and when we pass we look like we know what we are doing. We didn’t look like we knew what we were doing before so maybe time is what we needed.

I am the as happy as anyone who supports Wigan that we have done what we have done and I admit that I was wrong with my comments against Martinez.

Well done Martinez, well done supporters and well done to the lightsiders for believing in what we have and maybe I will listen next time instead of stropping at the first time of trouble.

If we go down then we will bounce back and if we don’t go down then I have to say, its Martinez who will have saved us.

I think the arrogant, smug grin has been completely wiped off his face today, but to his credit he did say we were awesome and deserved the win, it must have killed him saying it though.

I was at him all match being just in shouting distance. When he had the notebook and pen out I shouted “as anyone geet a bog roll for hardpoo hes running out of paper” followed by “just write crap Allan, they’ll know what you mean”

I just loved watching him squirm around watching us doing the ole passing at the end. If he had the guts to walk off before the final whistle, he would have.
That mate is for the Reading play off game at the JJB when you got a draw and went round punching the air as if you’d won the champs league and still had the second leg to go. Its also for the celebration for the Brian Deane goal when your team West Ham were already in the play offs and didn’t need the result.
