But the one thing they have which we would love, is Cattermole, He was a class above our team and still is (injury aside of course)
Nobody is going to have Cattermole for the next few months, if there was a glimmer that he could have made the WC squad, that is now gone… feel really sorry for him.
I DID say injury aside JayT… He is possibly the one thing we need, I know Thomas n Diame are Ok.. Noticed on a post earler that someone said they were aother class to what they have seen at Wigan before… But they are nowhere near half as good as Cattermole
And I have to disagree with you. Thomas is far the better player than Cattermole and there’s more to come. I honestly think the rumours made about Cattermole’s unrest was all about him being outshone in training by HT during the weeks leading up to his departure. I also believe Diame will be better than Palacious, got the trickery plus a great shot on him and an eye for the killer pass. I wouldn’t be suprised if Mark Hughes doesn’t come for him in January.
Whoever says HT and MD are just OK must be on another planet. They have already took Lampard and Essian apart, stood toe to toe with City’s million dollar maestros and helped smash Burnleys home record yesterday, a feat that the likes of Man U and Everton midfield have failed to do.
Couldn’t believe it yesterday when Figgy got done. Edman has been bench warming all season and yesterday….no signs of.
Thought Thomas, Charlie, Hugo and Scotland were class above the rest on show, although I was quite impressed with Fletcher for them he looked a real handful and was chasing lost causes in the 90th minute. The boy Eagles has not been getting in the starting 11 this season and yet he too looks the biz.
100% Gomez!!.
It looks like Bobby thinks Sinclair is too much of a luxury or will not fit into his game plan for some reason, otherwise he would have been in from day one.
The boy has looked total class when unleashed and I have been expecting him to start every game since the villa match, when he came on and tormented their defenders for 15- 20 mins or so.
I reckon this mon could destroy the likes of Caldwell, Carlise and Alexander that are without doubt “championship players” at best. :o
I agree but wish we were more direct and play 442 against teams like Hull, Burnley Wolves etc. Zoggie and Sinclair should be on the wings with 2 centre forwards instead of a lone one. We don’t need 5 in the middle against the lesser teams in this division.
Yes im dissapointed with the result, but the fact is bobs team is now starting to take shape.Yesterday we controlled the game for long periods of the game with some neat football and good 1touch passing, our downfall was some pish poor crossing into the box, at times no urgency. brown did his homework and roughed up scharner which resulted in him going off injured and that no hoper gomez coming on, in my eyes sinclair would have to start to had some pace and flair with rodders

The only problem with changing the shape as it is at the moment is that we would not get the possession we earned on Saturday. I counted at least 5 or 6 occasions when we had good shooting chances just outside the box and hit row Z. It seemed ironic that for the first time in ages we actually finished off the pre match warm up by blasting balls into goal for a good 5 mins. Scotland, Diame and Zog hit the net every time, then during the match they couldn’t get within yards of it.

Is it just me, or does anyone else agree that Mario is a useless, overrated sack of sh1t? He was awful on Saturday, not for the first time either. Where the fcuk was he for their second goal? Geovanni had a tap in where Mario should have been. He brings nothing to the team, and why he’s captain is beyond me. We should have bought a replacement in the summer, and I said that in the summer and plenty of times before that too.
I’ll tell you were Mario was for the second goal, he had made a great run forward as boycie had the ball ready to start another attack. The fact that Boycie made a rare error and gave the ball away meant that everyone was out of position.
There are not many right backs in the prem I’d swap Mario for, have you seen how many times Glen Johnson is caight out of postion in a game and he is Englands number one RB FFS.
What are you doing on this board, shouldn’t you not be trying to get a refund on your soup or leek play off final ticket that you knee jerked and bought after the Hull KR game?.
By the way those two games you pointed out the scores for meant absoluterly jack sh_it. In that pathetic sport of yours you can lose a ponfull of games and still make the play offs. The games that mattered were the ones that were soooo predictable and one of them ended your season, so do one chubster boy.
To be fair its been OK since they last re-laid it. Apparently they dug right down and sorted the drainage out. It does seem a bit harder and compact now than it did.
Had to laugh at Hull watering their pitch yesterday when it was absolutely pishing down. Whats all that about?
