So in fact, it could be quite bad.
He’s falling behind isn’t he, I’ve posted this before he had chance to aswell:
Prospective Liverpool owner Kenny Huang has refused to comment on reports his consortium is being backed by the Chinese government.George Gillett and Tom Hicks are looking to sell and several parties are reportedly considering a takeover.
Chinese businessman Huang revealed earlier this week that he was interested in investing in Liverpool, although he has yet to make a formal offer.
Reports in Thursday morning’s press have now suggested that the Chinese government is Huang’s mystery backer.
China Investment Corporation (CIC), is the country’s overseas investment arm that was set up in 2007 and reportedly has $332billion to spend abroad.
Premier League
“We will not confirm or deny any matter in relation to the Liverpool Football Club unless and until we and the representatives of Liverpool FC have chosen to do so jointly,” said a spokesman for the Hong Kong-based businessman.
Huang has yet to make a statement in response to the story but any potential buyer must be cleared by the Premier League.
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore will not look into the matter further until China’s involvement is confirmed but says such a scenario would be acceptable.
“If they had the backing of the Chinese government we wouldn’t have any problem with that, any more than we do the Manchester Citysituation, with effectively sovereign wealth out of Abu Dhabi,” Scudamore told Sky Sports News.
Asked about China’s human rights record, he added: “I don’t think that is something we would get into. I don’t think it is right to be going into detail.”
Personally I think it would be a great shoe in to fill the cup for Liverpool.
I don’t, if he’s not good enough he deserves to be criticised.
Criticised, yes. Totally and utterley ruined for everything he does? Behave yourself. If you think Gomez is that bad a footballer you know nothing.
I saw Rodallega applauded for taking a ball to feet, running back towards our goal for 10 yards before passing back to the centre-back. 2 minutes earlier, under considerably more pressure, Gomez did the same thing and was slaughtered.
That’s not rational football fans. that’s a mob whoi have decided they want somebody out and no matter what he does – like the little dinked ball into the penalty spot late on that no-one else in the team could/would have spotted – he will get the full dog’s abuse.
Granted, he can be frustrating and ineffectual at times, but who can’t? no way is he as bad a footballer as some make out. We aren’t exactly Barcelona without him, are we?
Exactly, I think he should be criticised not booed.
N’Zogbia – has just earned his first call up
Rodallega – Colombia aren’t playing
Figueroa & Thomas – Honduras aren’t playing
McCarthy – I think he’s been left out of the squad due to refusing to go to an end of season training exercise
Boselli – Hasn’t been selected
Stam – Has been selected
Alcaraz – Squad hasn’t been released yetSo 2 will definitiely be away – possibly 3
Oh right good :)
EDIT Colombia play Bolivia and it says that McCarthy did get a call up and we’ll be missing Gohouri and Al-Habsi aswell so instead of there being 2 definitely away and possibly 3, there’s 6 possibly 7the zog dont play for his country  :shock:Yeah he got a call up.
I don’t know why everyone has a go at Gomez, I mean he takes part and that’s all that counts, what more can you ask for?
I could take part but I reckon fans would soon be on my back as i am 47 and well past my footballing days !! :(
:lol:I saw enough to convince me be can beat Blackpool 3-0.Forget the result, that doesn’t matter.
How good was Alcaraz?
How many good positions will Boselli get in?
N’Zogbia looks ‘up for it’.
Gohouri looks solid.
Stam looked sharp and hungry.
McArthur looks a great aquisition.
McCarthy looks like he’s been on the weights.
Diame looked hungry. Class.
Ben Watson? Superb.
If we start the match with the starting line up, plus maybe Stam, but then again Boyce did nothing wrong, then I am extremely confident we can get off to a good start.
We looked very neat and tidy, and definitely looked more settled with the system than last season.
Yeah, I thought we played really well. We actually played with a fast tempo and that Stam was brilliant down the wing always passing to someone then running into space, and he but some good crosses in aswell. Can’t wait for next season :)
I was disgusted by our so-called ‘fans’ last night.Gomez is clearly the Number One ‘Boo Boy’ now.
FFS! Get off his back. His first touch was greeted by moans and growns.
Dicks. I can see some serious falling out with fellow ‘supporters’ this season.
And WTF was all the abuse at Pennant for?
And as for the seat ‘rattling’ in the stand………….dear god! It was like something from Eton. Muppets.
It was because he didn’t join us.
Bit stupid really and just to let you all know I’m totally against booing and I was not booing Gomez I just thought you were on about all the fans thinking he was bad or summit because I didn’t hear anyone booing him.Apart from O’Neill in our first season at the JJB – I cannot recall a player who gets as much stick / abuse as Gomez
(numerous spring to mind from SP)And believe me it will get worse
In fact I feel quite sorry for the lad at times
I don’t, if he’s not good enough he deserves to be criticised.
You can’t blame him if he ain’t up to it. It’s the Manager you have got to blame for playing him :?
Good point but maybe it sends a message to the manager that the player is total utter rubbish and he should never ever even think about playing him again in his whole career.Yeah, I agree, I think this is one of the best Latics sides in a long time.

Yeah, I think he should be upfront with Boselli and Moses should be on in place of him although that miss today was awful, not really a good way to impress any scouts watching. :?
Overall, I think we played quite well, Stam looked brilliant, it was just Gomez I think who lost it for us. He was absolutely awful. I think that McArthur did well aswell and how did Hugo miss that chance in the first half
Prem is the reason why England are whaleI never remember England to be a large, aquatic mammal.
