Just a small observation to add to that CW. It’s a non football issue; but there is no smoke without fire !

Have you noticed how many back office jobs are advertised via the Latics website; some repeatedly. It appears that the engine room isn’t a happy place either; going by the high turnover of staff. When you look at the roles, they are not new positions that are being added to the team; they are replacements for staff that have jumped from an unhappy ship.

Aye, chin up; a win against Cardiff and a win at Plymouth will soon see this game forgotten.

Interestingly; listen to Dave Challinor’s post match interview on You Tube.

    Tell me what you think.

Imagine what substitutions SM would have made yesterday; at 1-1 he would have packed defence & midfield, instead of attacking and trying to win the game.

Yes, Robinson was our best man on the night and deserves a real chance in the team.

Leo Graham; is he the new Jimmy Bullard ? Did well in his cameo appearance.

8 shots; at least it was more than most Maloney games; only time will tell.

Exactly :good: :good: :good: :good: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Lowe is the only reason that I’ll be renewing my season ticket. If it was SM, I was definitely throwing in the towel.

At least we will have some height up-front for a change.

Yep, we’ve had enough convalescent players in the past. Signed them and they are not fit enough to start the season; then we ease them in with 15 minute cameo appearances; then their next injury strikes and the season is over.

So yes, please think long and hard before we repeat these mistakes.

Yes, Mr B: heard that about 4 weeks ago.

Ledson played about 85% of games for the Knobbers, under the guidance of Ryan Lowe. He’s a born scouser, so a good fit with RLs strategy. His partner is Lucy Fallon, aka Bethany Platt of Corrie Fame; so that alone will get a few extra in the West Stand

I’m lead to believe that the reason he left Knob End, was that the people above him in the Lilywhite hierarchy chose which players to recruit and thus he had very little say in transfer matters and budget.

Get yer tenner on Nob End for relegation next year; whilst we wave to them on our way up :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Yes, we need to make better use of our academy set up.
I’d rather develop our own players that we can sell for profit, rather than develop other teams youngsters that give us no value unless they are exceptional players that can consistently perform at first team level. In recent years the only young loanee that fitted this bill was Reece James; and there are very few like him !

I’m sure that Ryan Lowe will have his shopping list out this morning. Just hope Danson gives him the support that gets us back to being a progressive team :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

You can’t argue with our defensive record of goals conceded. We are circa 5th best outside of the Premiership.
We know that we need strikers, and I’m sure that RL has got his wish list drawn up.
Then to back up the front men we desperately need a midfield general, in the mould of Graham Cavanagh.
Like you say CW, let’s hope Danson stumps up a reasonable transfer kitty.

Despite RL not setting the team on fire, I have enjoyed the games more so than the games under SM.
I think SM did a lot of damage to player’s confidence and didn’t allow them to showcase their real talents. Maybe that’s why Lang & Aasgaard jumped ship. When you listen RL’s interviews carefully, he states that he has given our players more freedom to make decisions and play progressively. Hence, it will take a little bit of time and persuasion to exploit this new freedom.
It’s a bit like the Indian elephant that’s been chained to the tree for years; then when you finally take the chain off, the elephant just stands there not knowing what to do.
