Popped into the CO-OP at Lostock Hall, on the way home, and bought FOUR bottles of Doom Bar to celebrate each Latics goal and the Doom that we inflicted upon the “best team in the World”; apparently !Brilliant James McLean goal yesterday; must be one of his best ever.

In memory of an old chap and long standing Latics supporter since 1932 that I knew when I was a young Tic – I sometimes gave him a lift to Springfield Park and would often have Latics chat with him at the Bowling Green at Mossy Lea; and when I offered to buy him a drink, his answer was always – “I’ll just have a gill”. So tonight, it’s not cabernet or merlot; it’s just a gill of ale (quite fitting for a brilliant win at the Priestfield, and that’s how Jimmy Robbo would have celebrated !!!
