I like martinez, i do. He was a legend as a player and has the head to be a great manager.
However…. From what i can see, theres a plan A and thats it. Its ok saying ‘listen to the people inside the club’ but unless im mistaken, they are paid by the club and will tow the party line regardless of who they are talking to. This guy (i will assume is Pollit) wont give you infomation that will bite his arse, he aint that stupid.
You can rave on about what ever player you want, you can set a team up around the srongest players, if they arnt playing, then whats the feccing point? Plan B time. ooppss, we aint got one. 451 everytime, and even if the TV at the ground proclaims it as a 433, its still a feccin 451.

We can’t attract the most skillful players to Wigan, so why play a set of tactics that can only work in the Premier League if you have not only the best footballing defenders money can buy, but also a set of attackers who can score enough goals to cancel out the goals you let in through the odd error at the back? We have neither so that game plan will fail many more times than it will succeed.
So instead of slagging off people who point these things out, someone defend the team selection, game plan, tactics during the game, ability to motivate players etc.

griff does know someone at the club…… me. An i will tell you exactly why gomez plays. Martinez was nailing brenda whilst uncle Dave was throwing one off the wrist in the corner one evening, and gomez secretly taped the enire lust marathon. He still has the tape to this day. Its why Jummping Jonny benson left the club, he was green with jellousy.

all of the above my not necessarily be true and accurate, mainly the bit about griff being a great mate.…are seriously starting to do my head in, in the first couple of minutes McCarthy passed to Gomez a good 2 or 3 yards short and left him on his wrong foot, what did half the mongs near me do blamed Gomez which started a good 45 minutes of blaming Gomez for everything that went wrong.The same mongs (well the one sat behind me) twice shouted to the players to get a foot in when we actually had the ball. Another instance was when DiSanto had the ball 3 yards away from Gomez lost it but guess who got the blame, Gomez at this stage i just turned to the lad sat next to me shook my head and we both agreed that most people around me havent got a clue.
I thought Watson and McCarthy were both not up to their best today but obviously it was the whipping boy Gomez who took all the blame. At the end of the day it wasnt Gomez who gave the ball away in the first few minutes that gave the goal away and put us on the back foot for the rest of the game.
FFS give Gomez a break.
