Win two games thent semi, WTF is that all erbart?
I take it you are expressing your frustration at Euro 2016, where Portugal will be in this situation if they win their QF…..
Did you attend the big game today Smutty or was it BBC 2 for you? Any news on the attendance yet?
Two and half thousand from Cas!If you knew there was 2500 from Castleford (do you have an official link to that fact, or is it more Bullitt Bullshit?), then you’d know the attendance. You’ll also know that it was over 8000. You’d also know that it was 2600 more than the last cup game to be played at the DW.
I was accompanying my daughter to a university open day, so it was neither for me. Some things are more important to me than a sporting event.
Good win by the way, don’t you agree?
Speaking of big flags, are they planning to make another appearance come August? I note that the front 5 rows of the Boston & South stand are not available for Season Ticket purchases.
For a rock-solid Labour constituency, a 60:40 vote against their party’s wishes is a pretty big vote of no confidence.
Did Nandy and the councillors actually campaign hard in Wigan for a “Remain” vote, or were they busy making a fuss about rail services from 2017, lap dancing clubs and other minor issues that could have waited until today?
There was a reason why Farage wasn’t part of the “official” out campaign, yet his ego meant that he couldn’t keep his nasty xenophobic gob shut until 10pm tonight. Blaming all the worlds problems on immigrants only gets you a certain amount of votes and followers – the remaining 40 million will take a bit more persuasion than a weekly xenophobic rant and a poster of war-refugees. He has postured like the repeatedly unused sub at a major football tournament, agitating and disrupting in an effort to be recognised.
When the leading lights of the out campaign disassociated themselves with Farage, UKIP and their anti-anything not British policies earlier in the week, that was effectively the end of the road for the leave campaign.
Connor Washington has never scored a goal “at a level higher than the English 3rd division”.No, but he’s played at that level. Grigg hasn’t.
Now, go show your arse over the river duggy, you know-nowt bullshitter.
Was he released, or has he just declined to re-sign with them, like Robson-Kanu has with Reading? He was appointed club captain in early 2015, so I doubt its a case of Hamilton “letting” him go.
From what I’ve seen, he looks a canny keeper playing in front of a pretty crap defence, but I doubt he’d get a premier league starting place. I didn’t think between the sticks was an area of concern for Wigan – didn’t they peddle a keeper they’d only just signed to Bristol City last winter?
You are correct, but out of the four, Grigg is the only one who hasn’t scored (or even played) at a level higher than the English 3rd division.
Wrong again Mutty, you really should do a bit more homework before spouting off.
Below is a report from a 2010 Carling Cup 4th round match against a team about 180 miles away. It was a midweek fixture so its doubtful they brought any more than a couple of hundred.http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk/fixtures-results/match-report/index.aspx?matchid=3327196
Oh contraire:

“There was enough life in the Swansea side to keep their 4,500 fans happy, with Darren Pratley shining in particular and looking potential Premier League class as he exploted the wide-open space.”
There was also a report in the guardian of a delayed kick off due to an accident on the M6 which delayed the Swansea fans and gave fear to a crush at the turnstiles – not something that would happen with only a couple of hundred.

My maths puts that at approx. 7000 home fans.
Sorry to rain on your parade again, but I get my ducks in a row before I state something as “fact”. I’ve been telling Bullshit this for ages.
Very unlikely there would have been 4500 Swansea fans there, but even if it were true you are still wrong with your original post as the attendance was well in to five figures.
Do your homework son before commenting, it might just stop you looking like a complete twat instead of just a partial one.
Your failing memory versus a newspaper report taken from that night in question – no real choice there. And 11,700 is hardly comfortably into double figures. And it wasn’t on TV.
But I will accept that over 60 years ago at another ground, the Latics got a five-figure crowd for a home cup game. Similarly the rugby got nearly 50,000 on Central Park many moons ago too. The fact still remains that its a bloody long time since the Wigan public turned up in large numbers at the DW for any sporting fixture not covered by a Season Ticket.
Edit – No need for language like that sir

Still no Will, not even for a few minutes. :(
Would be nice if he popped the winner in against Germany :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Sadly not, but the Irish chant is cool:
Will Griggs on fire
The bench is terrified.Sorry to rain on your parade, but I chose my words carefully. “Knockout Cup match”. Not “Rugby knockout cup match”.
The answer to my question Bullshit, was 2012, when Wigan hosted Saints. If I’d asked the same question of the football, it would have been 2006 (Over TEN years ago), when 12,181 showed up for a semi-final with Arsenal, which included 4,000 visiting fans.
The facts are quite clear that the 2013 FA Cup winners cannot, nor ever have been able to, attract five-figure home support to a cup fixture, let alone a televised cup fixture.
Now, jog on over to RL Fans for another 5 minutes of fame before you get kicked off.
7,000 would be a reasonable crowd with the time, the opposition, and the fact it is on BBC when a Euro 2016 game featuring a home nation is on. Despite your one-eyed view, many rugby fans do actually follow football too.
Can you tell me the last time any knockout cup match at the DW that was live on TV attracted more than 9000?
(I also note that you only lasted one trolling post on RL fans before your arse was kicked into touch – its a shame the WEP don’t adopt that approach with trolls.)
Almost as funny as signing Grant Holt for £millions, paying him £millions in wages, then loaning him out to all and sundry for most of his contract.
C,mon mutt lad, are you telling us that Sunderland have never signed a duffer like Holt ?
No I’m not. In fact Bullshit and co have been getting a hard-on over the thought of Steven Fletcher wearing a Latics shirt next season – one of the most expensive Sunderland flops going.
I wouldn’t describe a 21 year old England international sportsman who returns to his home town club “a flop”. I would commend him for quickly realising that 2016 wasn’t the time to try and crack the toughest RL competition, and perhaps he should have stayed at Wigan for another 2-3 years before going down under. But I suppose he could have done a Holt and collect the wages on offer whilst not playing.
