Can you please state by copy and paste where I said that Mutty

    Sure:

    From vital

Been said that we have sold just over 8,000 so far, which if that is the case then that is fantastic

I know quite a few that havent renewed yet and there are always those that do it late in the day

The club must be pleased with those numbers

    :woohoo: :woohoo:

As for your other question, as I said before, I neither know, nor care, who you are, as you are irrelevant to my life. Whether you are the president of the USA or some minimum wage security guard makes no difference to me.

All we need now is a shit ground and to wake up because it was all a dream ” What do you want for breakfast love?”

Before & After summed up here:

The average attendance won’t be more than 8000 so that season ticket story is bollocks!

Of course its bollocks – 35yrs was the source!

Anyway, looks like this mon wont be renewing for reasons other than the on-field performances:

“With the club reporting that season card sales for this season have been very healthy”

    https://www.eticketing.co.uk/wiganathletic/details/event.aspx?itemref=3020

There’s a lot of green dots on the availability chart.

Why don’t they come out and say how many have been sold rather than an ambiguous statement like this. There was a rumour going round that less than 1000 had been sold by the early bird deadline last month.

Similarly, someone on here claimed over 8000 had been sold, but if that were the case, I doubt this £199 price guarantee would have been marketed.

First & Last name is on this thread fella (2nd page of comments, halfway down), along with all the multiposter user names. As for who you are (if, as you say, its not you), I neither know, nor care.

However, if that is your name and you have nothing to do with all this, then I support your legal action against WMIC who has published a full name and a location. A check of ISPs that made the posts by the WEP would assist your legal case.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I have not been on that website for twelve months

Point 1 – If you are that person named, I havent outed you. I pointed out that the same name had been mentioned on that site. Sadly (for you anyway), I wasnt one of those who mentioned any name.

Point 2 – If you havent visited Wigan Today in the last 12 months, how come you managed to quote part of an article and part of one of the negative comments by this sad multiposter 4 days ago?

Mutt u read 600 from one of the idiots on the wep site where the comments are written by idiots

You are not kidding. Trev has about 5 accounts, just so he can give the thumbs up to his ridiculous comments! Bullitt, Swagger, Ronnie etc etc.

    Utterly ridiculous!

No I havent counted them, but its interesting to see nobody has rushed to counter the claim.

I read somewhere else that the figure was 600!

I read somewhere that Freddie Starr ate a hamster.[/quote]

Exactly why I didn’t believe the 600 figure. But there are an awful lot of green dots on the ST renewal site, including the south stand. I did think initially they were selling well, but then remembered that the front 8 rows are being closed down.

If we can sell six thousand seats in advance then our average gate will be at least 6k plus with the matchday ticket sales.

About 1200 seats sold so far, so quite a way to go.

The sad multiposting individual concerned has been outed on the WEP.

There are suggestions he may frequent this site. Seeing as he left school in 1984, then he could well have been following the laughtics for 35 years or more.

    Evening Trev ;)

As an aside, how much have the Latics’ fans raised towards the DW statue? Is it anywhere close to £34,000?

in reply to: Fao of the chubsters #143008

They are not skint. The TV income pretty much covers the salary cap, then you have the income from sponsorship, merchandise and ticket sales which will more than cover the salaries for the remaining staff and rent for using DWs stadium. Then of course there is the money that has come in from selling players (Hansen, Hock) and sometimes getting them back for way less (Tomkins x2, Mossop).

That said, it is a grand gesture by Mr Whelan, and its a shame that 35 hasn’t included the text from the whole article, choosing to gloss over the positive bits and instead copying and pasting the comments from a poster with multiple identities on that site who has just about united everyone in their utter contempt for him. Even his “son” has posted telling him to grow up, get out of his pyjamas and stop spending every minute of every day on the site trolling.

For anyone interested in the whole article, it is here:

Well we are certainly quids in and 1.5 for McClean is an absolute steal. Well done to whoever brokered this deal.

£1.5 million is certainly a steal when you consider you paid £2 million for him two years ago, he’s still a regular in the international set-up and was the player of the year last season. I hope he is going without a payoff to either him or his agent and the whole £1.5 million goes direct to the coffers of the club.

I think deep down Whelan always wanted the rugby there though

Of course he does. Without the Warriors there, someone else would have to fund the difference in income. Like it or not, using the stadium for rugby fixtures means your rent isn’t as high as it would otherwise be.
