Man walks in a pub with a Penguin and they casually approach the bar. The man orders himself a drink then turns to the Penguin and says “what do you want to drink marrer”? the Penguin replies “ill have a pint of Carling please” The barman turns to man and says”Wow thats very unusual” to which the man replies “I know he normally drinks bitter”.
Ive just seen a Penguin in the co-op in Shevvy, he was in between the Caramel Rocky,s and the Kit Kats
To be fair the Titanic was a giant insurance job, the coal store was on fire before they left port…..Martinez has had ample opportuinity to put that fire out !
If your going with the conspiracy theories Edinburgh that Titanic was an insurance job shoudlnt you give her real name marrer? Olympic had already broken her back near Southampton and would never get a seaworthy licence. Theory is she was taken back to Belfast and they swapped identity plates etc with Titanic which would then sail and be scuppered Mid-Atlantic thus becoming an Insurance job. It is stated that the SS California which set sail just before Titanic and was alledgedly carrying only blankets and sheets as cargo would pick up all on board. Trouble is the daft gets went and hit a bloody iceberg and bo..oxed up the plan :D :D :D
get shut asap
But you already know mate that Whelan thinks Martinez is the best manager around coz he has stated it enough in the media. Lets face it marrer we are fooked.

41 yrs for me and until last season I had never once been embarrassed by this club I love Wigan Athletic dearly and it hurts like f…..g hell to see them being made a laughing stock. I fear there are many more disasters ahead of us until changes are made. To lose so heavily against a team like Blackpool and be totally outplayed is incomprehensible. So much is wrong with us at the moment it is impossible to see how we turn it round. I only hope and prey it doesnt go on for too much longer. Please mr Whelan end the hell us fans are going through and do whatever is necessary to stop these all too often embarrassments.
Wimbledon once had a crowd of less than 4000 against Everton in a top flight game but coz today its the “PREMIER LEAGUE” we are constantly frowned upon by the media who are so far up the PLs arriss. It makes me sick when you hear the persistant over hyping of THE TOP 4 and CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. Our league pyramid system has worked for donkeys and is in great shape. It works because of the smaller clubs as well as the rest and will continue to flourish despite the bloody Champions League and the big clubs spending money they aint got. I dont care a jot who thinks my club is a bit of a joke coz i very much doubt that too many have witnessed the success at their own clubs that this fantastic club has given us. Stuff the big clubs with big attendances give me Wigan Athletic FC anyday.
Oh goody, im made up. For crying out loud mon who gives a flyer who Rangers are after
I hope he puts out a strong enough side, we dont need another embarrasment like last season.
To both Swindon and Bath Latic, do what I have done boys and move back to glorious Wigan. I was miserable for 27 yrs until I moved back home to Shevvy. Wont ever leave this wonderful place again. :D
Ive bought and wore many truly crappy Latics shirts over the years even when I hated the damned awful designs, but in my case i gladly paid the asking price for 2 reasons
1 The Badge
2 The name WIGAN ATHLETIC FC
Both of the above made the shirts wearable with pride wherever I was either home or abroad no matter how bad the thing looked.
good luck to the fella
Blackpool possibly, i mean they are struggling to buy anyone at the minute.
Well I do feel sorry for them if you think about the way the game has gone with all these foreign money men who have no real feeling for the sport buying into some clubs, it was inevitable this could happen. Man Ure and Liverpool probably the biggest clubs on the planet have not escaped this modern day phenominum and are now trying their damndest to rid themselves of their present owners. Also in Pompeys case and Brighton both these clubs have been faced with constant battles for donkeys years with their local councils who have continually blocked their attempts to relocate to bigger stadiums which would have seen them bring in much needed revenue. Dont forget we were under threat of expulsion from the league coz of the state of dear old Springy but we were lucky enough to have a council who along with Mr Whelan could see that Robin Park was the right choice and gave full backing in the project. What has gone on at Portsmouth is a disgrace and no fan whoever they support deserves that so I cant help feeling sorry for them
