when we were in the lower leagues even in the 80’s the football was poor,hit and hope most of the time, but if we won it was great,it didn’t matter,a poor game became a great game.
hit the nail on the head for me standish, think bob is a good manage who wants to play good passing football but the players we have are not technicaly good enough to do what he wants.
i’ve come up with a solution on the goal scoring crisis:-
get someone,anyone, whether he costs ten bob or ten million to hit the frigger every now and again.
there martinez out,pemblue inour pitch usually isn’t very good this time of year anyway and is nothing to do with rugby being played on it once a fortnight. not very hard being giants in the world of rugby league is it,its worst than the spl where there is only one giant now.
Would it be even more frustrating if we didnt get corners or close a man down and even show a bit of effort and if I was to go on a bit of a rant what about the defence today was they not outstanding a clean sheet

i wern’t criticising, yes the defence were good yesterday, a clean sheet is always good, i’am saying its frustrating that sometimes we do the right things and play reasonably well without scoring.
whatever formation we play we cant score and thats the problem at the moment.i dont know what the answer is and its frustrating to watch.
agree but think martinez has been playing hugo out of position all season, wide right, might be better playing him in a striker position with some support, 442.
i know it sounds daft but what i mean is we play some good stuff at times and if we have an end product ie goals we would be higher up the league and the media and pundits would be saying what a decent side we are compared with the other teams around us who from what ive seen are no wher near as good as us.
playing ok ca’nt score dont look like scoring thats the problem. if we could score goals everyone would be saying what a good side we were
thought we played quite well today without scoring, but thats the problem and has been all season and thats why we are where we are and cant see where the goals will come from in the remaining games.
quite a few stewards work both the reebok and the dw which is about reet as they are always having a pop at away fans in the north stand. almost every game you see them marching up the steps and chucking someone out. have a look saturday.
just goes to show what we have achieved in the last seven years on a budget.think we deserve more credit from the media, pundits etc.
