who said i didnt cheer at half time, a new manager with a positive attitude will put the players in a better mood.The problem I have with roberto is not the defeats it’s the lack of progression in our play and his development as a manager. Is it me or are you not totally embarrased by the lack of reality and totally misplaced positivity that he displays after a 3 or 4 goal defeat…platforms….platforms . While I’m at it…Scotland….it’s ok to make a mistake with a purchase but it’s suicide to not recognise it and keep playing someone who is obviously not good enough

And Jay, before i get slated for not being positive, there are no positives. We played the worst team in the league, who where completely under strength, who pretty much comfortably held His Highness, the god like Martinezs charges at bay all night.
Cant you see that he may be a great guy, he may have been a good (lower league) player for Wigan. HOWEVER HE IS AN INEPT PREMIER LEAGUE MANAGER.

I am sticking to my guns as I want Martinez to be in charge. Totally agree about the Scotland comment, I can see no sense in playing a man up front who is the biggest joke of a striker I have witnessed. He is awful. Also really don’t see why Moses didn’t get a chance earlier, and Moreno too for that matter.

Lets keep booing and get this mon out.Its never simple, buy a ticket u get free travel, how easy is that, but eh its wigan we always have to make it hard, eg if u aint got a wigan postcode or bought a ticket before you aint getting in, no wonder people dont come, we aint no man u and never will be, lets just make it easy, but the trouble with wigan if you aint supported them before whelan era, which i have before people jump on my back, you r slated lets just get every one down to west ham and the dw, instead of having loop holes, we aint no billy big club, but could be a club with great potential but too many people stop us being a club with a great fan base. stop living in the past people, and let new fans come on board without feeling shite, eg supported them before the glory days.
Can Martinez do anything right though?He plays Scotland in the hole and he scores yet people still persist to claim he’s clueless? Surely playing Scotland there worked?!?!
Scharner is useless in my eyes but surely he proves to everybody on Sunday that he’s NOT a centre back. He can’t play simple defence and cost us the equaliser which then put pressure on us and cost us the game. Also, it was their centre back who got the winner so Scharner may have been at fault for that although the only person I can see to blame is Kirkland who seemed to just help it in the net with a nice little touch!
As for the formation, talk sport stated that Wigan were playing 4-2-4 when going forward and deserved to be leading at the break.
What people see from Martinez is the negative side of his formation. The slow build up play works for the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal, etc but when it’s being played by decent players rather than quality players it can go wrong but surely it’s his job to adjust the team to himself rather than adjust himself to the team? He is obviously playing the typical spanish football which helped Barca to a convincing 4-1 against Arsenal yesterday and i’m confident he’ll find the right players to do so (although I don’t believe we’ll be a patch on Barca)!
Martinez’s formation works in all sorts of different ways depending on who is in possesion and how the game is shaping. We will dictate the play rather than hoof and chase. It has worked but not consitently and that is something i’m sure we’ll be looking to work on so show a little faith, Martinez is here for the long run and we’ll NOT go down!
So if martinez wasnt clueless why did he play scharner at the back if he his useless, :?

pski….you can’t be serious in saying that we should have complained about Fulham’s team v Hull? I’d be embarrassed if we had, what West Ham have done is a disgrace…they should accept they are in a relegation fight and get on with it, not go squealing to the authorities.What im saying is west ham put pressure on fulham to field a decent side, complaining like they did, and it worked.
