Watch it mate they will all be coming on saying you should have gone, ans = why should we go and watch a team which as been destroyed by a greedy, deluded man.
Can it get any worsecourse it can martinez could keep his job, remember he has a job for life,
The phrase “Rome wasn’t built in a day” springs to mind again for the umpteenth timeTrouble is we are like a bad building firm, we nearly build rome then we knock it down,
What this thugby numpty doesnt relise, is if or when whelan does sell up, and if and when we get relegated, The new owners wont give a shite about the thugby team, and with our revenue decreasing, one option will be putting there rent up, :)
Good call hgl.Look at it this way – there’s not going to be a better wake-up call or opportunity to learn for Bob and the new team than by matching and by getting trounced by what is still the best team in the league (yes, even better than the “resurgent” Arsenal).
Our history against Utd shows that it always goign to be our bogey team (you can bet your house it’ll either be a drubbing or us losing after taking the lead). There was also too many other bigger factors to think that we’d get anything from today (Rooney on 99, Owen on a duck, Berbatov on a drought, Valencia’s return, Utd’s loss to Burnley).
Personally, I’d rather get one of our two obligatory drubbings of the season out of the way early and now crack on – remember, we trounced Hull 5-0 at their place at the same point last season and they then went on a brilliant run.
Couple of gripees though:
– just seen the highlights on MOTD and am disgusted by the dirty tactics of some of Utd’s players (Scholes, Evra, Vidic)
– secondly, Bob said today that losing 1-0 or 5-0 didn’t make a difference to him…hmm, it does in this league mate, as we found to our credit when we survived by just the 1 goal 3 seasons ago…
agree totally with the last bit dont think martinez as got a clue, really think it could go down to goal difference this year, bob bob give us a wave , yes thats you martinez or have you forgot,
Talking rubbish, give us something positive, we sell all our best players then replace with championship players, We bring back koumas who as never been good enough and never will, we keep playing one up front which aint workin esp at home, and some of the comments our chairman comes out with is taking the piss out the club,
How i see it, when we played wolves they didnt let us play thats why we lost, today man u let us play first half but we have not got the quality to finish them off, second half utd stepped it up and we couldnt cope, and that was a well below par utd team, and they scored 5 goals in 45 mins very worrying
Totally agree, What does concern me is that whelan just isnt willing to give martinez any money, or is whelan waiting to see if martinez can cope with this division answer at the moment is a big no, as for gomez totally out of his depth
Obviously the marketing’s no good (if Bolton advertise in our local paper and we don’t, something’s going wrong), and some on here are suggesting you could be in town and not even know we were playing Man Utd, which is pretty dire. But the real reason our attendances have fallen off a cliff is staring Whelan in the face. You can’t go on forever selling our prized assets. A team containing Heskey, Palacios, Valencia and Cattermole (perhaps one managed by Steve Bruce, with one eye on Europe) would have been worth another 2,000 on the gate. People know a lack of ambition when they see one. And, while getting Bobby in might prove to be a masterstroke in the long term, players recruited from the likes of Swansea City are simply not going to get bums on seats.
I agree with you there, I think the club could be better off in someone elses hands, and i feel that will happen soon, Lets be honest whelan hasnt give wafc the ground for nothing,
im sorry but we are in deep trouble, Its time we went back to 442 because we have not got the players to do what martinez wants, its time whelan got up off his warchest and spent some cash, on decent players or todays crowd which was again shite will be closer to 13000, and if everyone thinks whelan wont sack martinez well you are living in dream land, because when as whelan ever stuck to his word, and believe me if he thinks he wont be getting 40 mill next year he will act,
Lets be honest our crowds will go down very quickly, nobody in there right mind is going to fork out money to watch that shite,
No, not the result, tho it was too great. But the pryck sat in the East Stand screaming, as soon as McCarthy had made his first touch, which to be fair wasnt great and nearly set them up –
“Feck off back to Scotland, yer WRLFC b,,,,d”
Hope he takes martinez with him, I could see the strings being pulled from whelan today, I thought jewel had no plan b but this mon has not a clue, and nobody in this world can say gomez is good enough he his slower than koumas walking off the pitch, hello koumas we are losing
Judging by the empty seats in the East against Wolves I reckon there’s at least 500-700 less STH in that stand. Couldn’t comment on the West as its hard to tell when your sat in there.
You could give it an educated guess on that Wolves gate. They brought about 4,500 that leaves app 12,000. You can say that there’ always around 1000-2,000 floaters for a home match depending on who we play. Therefore I would say we’ve anything between 10,000 -, 11,000 STH max.
I’m afraid we have too many of these:-
I agree, eh well not to worry, dropping kids off at me mams, then pub then dw, :DDont think we have got as many as last year, speaking to friends who havnt bothered this year, also do any of us season ticket holders know any body who got there money back in the so called prize draw,
With all there history, you would think they would have there own ground, instead of renting one of a little team playing in there back yard, lol
