Me and my big mouth. What will the tea lady have to say about this one.

in reply to: SACK HIM #16891
Standing at the edge of the dug out, as usual, trying to look concerned, when he must be bricking it.

Keeping the team in for a little longer at extra time to pretend to the fans he is seething, and trying to do something about the poor performance.

He is not running the team. Certain individuals are running the team. Not him. None of the decent players want to be around anymore.

Id love us to stay up – but bringing in Martinez has proved to be Whelans master stroke and ensuring we implode, and become a laughing stock.

What odds Villa getting four next week?

They got 4 last season with Bruce in charge. :(

But i have a feeling it will be closer next week ;)

in reply to: Latics best ever FA Cup goal ! #16890

    Wasnt one of the best.

But it was one of the best celebrated, Pattersons last minute goal against Coventry at Highfield Road. 1991

“Your going out with the Villa”

in reply to: Question Time #16317

What has been the highlight of your career?

“The highlight for me was winning the Golden Boot in 1997.

John Benson and John Deehan paid £150,000 for me in the summer before, which was a record fee at the time, a laughable amount nowadays! So i was under a little bit of pressure at the time and to do what i did was a great achievement, something i’m very proud of”

(You even got a photo with your question, the one of him holding his award and holding his finger up to say he was number 1)

I have a spare copy of the programme if you want it, i live in Springfield and sit in the East stand if you want PM me with how i can get it to you.

in reply to: train to wolves #16312
just booked 3 seats for wolves away a very good price of £17.50 return each going at 11.30am coming back at 6.30pm it only takes 1 hour and the ground is about 15 mins walk but th girl on the desk did say that this price will not last long.

Using my family railcard it only costs £14.95 and thats for me and my lad, and with the match tickets only £24 and £8 Scoffy might be coming out of retirement for this one. :P

in reply to: Megson sacked #16309

Bloody hell, that could seriously lift their season, new manager syndrome and all that. Megson was odds on to take them down, who do you think they will get? Hughes?

    :(

in reply to: Blackburn definitely on #16007

Bloody hell, i will have to find something else to moan about :(

in reply to: Our club is a joke but for once i am happy they are #15991

:x I am getting madder by the post, that mon with the wheelbarrow is about 30 years older than me. :x

in reply to: Our club is a joke but for once i am happy they are #15984

I will not come on here moaning if Saturdays match gets called off because we can all clearly see that tha club are now making an effort. But zero effort was made for Monday’s match which I found disappointing.

Also with Saturday’s game I wouldn’t expect anybody to be down there on Friday so if it comes down then well we have whale it.

Why don’t you walk round the stadium with your salt and spade and shovel it up, it would only take you a couple of minutes, like at work. Oh and do the surrounding areas aswell please :P ….. Saturdays game wont be cancelled[/quote]
    :x :x :x :x :x

Blue Peter Badge is in the post fella. Well done!

Ps. The stadium & surrounding areas are slightly larger than a drive and a works car park.

Pps. Sorry for the pedantic reply, but I find it unbelievale that people expected the game to go ahead with the current conditions!!

    Just my opinion though ;)

The badge must be stuck in the snow

What i was saying that is with a bit of effort i think the game could have been played. I drove past the groung 30 mins before the announcement was made and you could see that no effort had been made to even clear the ice from in front of the turnstiles.

Looks like they are finally trying for the boxing day game

    At last

Oh and i dont have a drive
