Looks like you have called that many people you cant actually remember what you have called each one. You have never apologized to me for what you put. And you never said anything about my Mum.
No, but he did say something about my mum and I ain’t forgot  [/quote]
Saw that one myself. He keeps tripping himself up, obviously not big enough to play with the big boys.
Got to give Junior Stripes great praise, for the pack they’ve sent out to their members.
It contains a fun booklet/magazine, with things to colour and do. A pen with multi coloured felt tip ends that change, and a set of stickers of the players, with a seperate pitch to stick them on. There are messages from Roberto, and a special certificate.
I think it’s great, as does my 3 year old, who is next to me now, placing the players on the pitch, asking me “Where does this one go?”
The club gets a lot of stick at times, but this really was a nice surprise and a great idea. :)
Own up everybody who has had waited until the kids have gone bed and then stuck your prefered starting 11 on the pitch.
Nice one to everybody involved, it was a cracking evening for the kids. I was also very impressed that the players were the last to leave…
Here, Here, my kids loved it, youngest one won a mug he said i could have it for christmas. Players were really good with the kids and i will definatley be buying tickets for the christmas party. Last year i did the typical Latics thing and only went for them on the last minute and they had all gone.
Its one of the only things that the club have got right is the junior club probably one of the best in the country.

I hope we are out of sight 20 minutes into the second half because thats when i will be leaving, night shift in whats the busiest weeks of the year for most people. How many other people have they stitched up who work lates or nights and wont be able to book a holiday.
My abiding memory of him, is when he actually rang me up (Honestly, he did) after I’d sent him a scathing letter, after we’d got beat by both West Ham and Sunderland, in the promotion season, and I questioned the players ‘bottle’.
He rang me to defend his players, and whilst he was angry about it initially, he cooled enough to spend about 10 or 15 minutes chatting all things Latics related. Surprised? You bet I was. He let me know though, in no uncertain terms, that he was the gaffer, and what he said, went.
I was sorry it went stale, towards the end.
Similar club, Darlington. Surrounded by bigger names, and a new stadium to boot. Good luck!
Have you been on SSN wearing a wig??????????
He is a big part of the history of this club, we went through a roller coaster ride of soccer ball emotions whilst this chirpy scouser was at the helm.
From his early days when he inherited half of a a ripped apart (courtesy of SB circa first time around) demotivated squad, and the heavy defeats by the likes of Wrexham, and the ultimate lowest points of his reign when we were well and truly out played by Canvey Island at home in the FA cup.
To the rebuilding and the massively happy times like the 3rd div (league 1 championship on near max points), and the bringing in of The Duke and JR not forgetting the likes of Jimmy Bullard. Then on he took us to the “promised land” and even a major cup final.
Yep I know it went stale at the end, he had found his level and couldn’t take us any further and maybe he turned on the fans a bit but we all have our limitations. I think he started to crack under the pressure, his health wasn’t what it was, probably not helped by the fact he may have had an inckling that the gutter press were about to print photos of him doing a bit of extra marital fettleing over a Merc.
All in all I prefer to remember the good bits of Jewels time here.
Unless I missed summert I can’t recall him having a do at us since he left?
