FFS! Our last ever game away from home in the Premier League moved to a Monday friggin night.

I reckon on a Saturday at £20 a ticket we fill that end like United the other night, increasing our chances of winning imo now we’ll take 2000 tops.

Never seen us do well here and I now believe the away pub The Fernhurst has been taken over and it’s home support only, just a head up before everyone turns up 2 hrs before kick off with nowhere to drink.

We will never fill that end and thats a FACT!!!
We’ve already done that Scoffy remember the cup game with John Deehan in charge??? And if that game was the crunch match I believe every man and his dog would travel and that end would be filled.[/quote
I have already mentioned about the cup match above.
Even if it was a crunch game winner takes all we still won’t fill it, end of.
If we needed to win at Blackburn to stay up IMO I think we would fill the away end. But that is my opinion I’m not stating it as fact like you, how the fuck do you know???
Finally got the bite i wanted  now ill tell you why,

Blackburn fans have season ticket holders in half the bottom tier, when you buy a Season Ticket for there you buy it on the understanding that for the United, Liverpool and another big team cant remember which one you have to purchase a ticket elsewhere in the ground they can do this before the tickets go on general sale.

Thats one of the reasons that Blackburn also have the cheapest season ticket which is about £190.

Did we not fill that end in the FA cup when we were lower league? I remember it being quite full anyway.
I do believe we did, great days, but absolutely rank pies of memory serves, which it might not, given the state I was in!
I meant this season, if i remember correctly we took 5000 that day which still wouldnt have filled it cause it holds about 7500 if im not mistaken.
I was in the upper tier and dont remember to many empty seats, came home on the last train after a friendly chat with some locals outside of the station ;)

Who the fuck does he think he is with his foot on the bench !!!! Would he do that at home ( If he had a football changing room bench ) in his house !!

Anybody know who that is, i thought he was Simon Cowell when he walked in.

Griff, i will be joining you tomorrow afternoon it will be nice to put a face to name.

There must be more people who want to have their questions here, post below and i will make sure they get asked. (as long as they are sensible)

When did Griff mention he was going ? For the record, I would ask him to give the full low down on the Boselli business ! Was he considered not good enough despite forking out a record transfer fee or did the playing him up front on his own leave him bereft of any previous confidence because he isn’t that sort of player as was pre warned by certain parties ? Ask him who is paying his wages at this present juncture and will we ever see him again !
Too right Fil, when indeed did I mention I was going? Wouldn’t like to be on a bank job with Scoffy ;)

If I was to go, I would try to get you an answer to your Boselli obsession
I just presumed you was going thats why i thought you was asking never mind i wont meet you after all.

The Boselli situation is my number 1 question, be honest i dont really have any others.
I asked my lad (who is 10) did he have any serious questions is reply was, “When is he going to sell Conor Sammon to a conference club.”

I thought the salary cap was meant to stop things like this happening.

I can see us winning this game and suprisingly comfortably. If you take a look at our results throughout February and March, excluding the disaster that was Swansea, we are not doing too badly. Excluding that game, we have got 7 points from 5 games, and we could have / should have won in many of those games. Liverpool aren’t particularly having a great time of it. They’ve lost 3 out of 4 of their Premiership games in March thus far. As for their season, they are way behind where they want to be and don’t look likely to be getting a european spot for next season. Add to this that under Martinez, we generally don’t struggle against Liverpool half as much as we did in the Jewell days. I’d see this game as a good opportunity to get some good betting odds on us because we certainly won’t be favourites.

Have they not already qualified for European football by winning the Carling Cup?

Back in the mid 80s I used to go to Wigan Tech. Some of my classes were on at night

I can’t remember how many times I used to run from college to Springfield Park when classes finished at 8.45 in the hope the grounds gates would be open so I could get in for the last few minutes.

Last few minutes?? You got a good half hour at some games :cheer:

in reply to: United game moved #81696

I was onto this one the other week, the Europa League Quarter finals second leg are the day before Good Friday so if United progress through their next round they will be playing that night pushing back their game against QPR to the Sunday meaning our game on the Monday would have to be moved.
They have probably put it on Tele knowing it was more than likely be played on the Sunday anyhow.
I wont waste 2 hours of my life watching it.

in reply to: Thought McArthur #81195

When we first signed McArthur i went and had a look on Scottish sites and they all rated him better than McCarthy.
Could be another masterstroke by Sir Bobby blooding him in slowly.

    (Tin hat on)
