To be honest that would have been a tall order
Think we got a short measure too :)
Yeovil away.Trust me, I can feel it.
No – Yeovil away will be on a Tuesday night in February.
OK for you though ;)
23,001 is correct. Biggest crowd of the season.
Ah – normality is restored :)
The sentiment on this site was overwhelmingly that a Cup win was worth the cost of relegation.
What do you mean “was..that a Cup win was worth the cost of relegation”?
I for one am quite happy where we are. Cup winners – which will never be taken from us. And now able to enjoy real football again.
I had a look and am firmly of the opinion. Just see if I’m not right.
thought the start of the season 2013/14 would be a new chapter ah wellIt is.
One where we start winning again, which will carry through to 2014/2015 in the Premier League, as Europa League holders.
I wasn’t going to reply to this thread, but it did strike me as strange that someone’s first posts on the site should be to warn off a moderator about legalities (incorrectly) and then call a long-standing member of the board a “moron”.
I will however reply, but hope this is the end of the discussion.
The DPA exists to prevent unwanted marketing and personal intrusion. In this case a poster was accused of not being who he claimed to be. I showed that he certainly was not posting from the Midlands as was claimed.
The Information Commissioner has ruled that IP addresses do not constitute personal information within the scope of the act, and therefore general information sourced from them ie approximate location (we are not talking address here, we are talking “Merseyside”) is within the law. How else do you get adverts that state “Hot dates in St Helens” – or is that just me?
As for going further. The OP (who has quite happily accepted I think that I am trying to help him – whether succesfully or not) provided even a moniker that can be Googled along with the word Everton to see if he appears on other sites related to Everton. He does.
There is no way I can confirm that the IP address and the stated identity match. All I can do is tell people that on balance I believe he is genuine – as equally I would warn people off if a really good Latics-related offer (maybe tickets, maybe merchandise) appeared which I could identify as coming from China or Russia.
We certainly cannot be bothered be doing this for all posters. Why would we? But in this case he was being accused of being a Villa fan. He isn’t.
Everything I posted is completely within the scope of the DPA. I won’t say why (because of DPA, you know), but I do know what I’m talking about.
Perhaps they could offer cheap tickets for the European games plus free quiche lorraine and a glass of wine.Glass of wine? It’d be that cheap stuff from Asda. Get your hand in your pocket Whelan and get some proper Chateau Lafite.
;)
I think that should be our song for tomorrow:
Que sera sera
Whatever will be will be
We’re going to Barnsley
Que sera seraNot all, John.
A giveaway is the water cooler. Not a random clip filmed in his living room, is it?
Go to You Tube and in the search box put the words: very unhappy city fan
Right – I’ve just Googled his real name (which I can see) and come across posts he’s made on other boards about Everton as an Everton supporter – and he has signed off as “Professional Man”.
Much more plausible that he is an Everton fan who fancies watching a game somewhere (as I do often myself) and (as we do) doesn’t want to pay out a fortune at Chelsea. He might be tempted to come to more at the DW, but will now be put off by the remarks he’s had here.
If you think he’s a Villa fan then don’t reply.
