but I can’t see them doing it.
Why not?
Women in front of me in the supermarket queue who look absolutely astounded that the cashier asks them to pay, and then they start rummaging round for their purse.
27 February 2010 at 1:02 am in reply to: our thoughts should be with this club in financial turmoil #24405A traditional football club are in serious trouble at the moment. Burdened with debt and on the verge of extinction. I feel our thoughts and best wishes should be with the fans and supporters of Chester City FC.
When we see the money that as been passed through and squandered by Portsmouth FC by signing players and paying wages they couldnt afford and think what just a small fraction of that money would have done to help Chester it makes me realise how mixed up this football thing is these days.
Who gets all the press and sympathy today. Of course Pompey.
Good luck Chester City. Lets hope you can escape folding up on the 10th 0f March.
Pompey… well you have created your own destiny with your own mismanaged greed.I actually thought the fans now want Chester City wound up so they can rebuild with a “phoenix club”.
So hoping they avoid folding up goes against what the true fans want.

Better wrap up warm tomorrow folks, it’s set to be -9 in Portsmouth tomorrow!

The 1954 World Cup Final was held in the Wankdorf Stadium in Berne and you may wish to see this replica shirt:
http://www.uksoccershop.com/products/1565.htmlHe was never exactly a svelte figure was he?
He’ll be more of a 4-4-3 man.That’s where we’re going wrong.
Stick an extra player on and we’ll be OK ;)
Oh we will.
One point against Bolton, one against Burnley and one against Portsmouth.
That’s three, isn’t it?
I heard that too.
He actually said they were the only club to have been 92nd in the league to climb to the Premier League.
Now, I’m sure we have been 92nd, but we have also been 1st.
In 1935-1936 we beat Hurst 8-0 at home, and 7-2 away in the Cheshire League.
Does that count?
[Anyone who wasn’t at both games and can produce ticket stubs and programmes to prove it is a JCL, by the way]
I suppose we should be grateful that when they stuck the pin in the programme team list to pick the MOTM they did actually choose someone who was playing.
Just imagine: “And today’s Man of the Match is Tomasz Cywka”.
I must admit I’ve never heard the Man of the Match announcement anywhere being booed!
Against Man U and Spurs we have a goal difference of -21.
