Mind you, you don’t have to be old to be confused. I went out for a stroll with my girlfriend as it was a nice summers day (not recent). Anyway we decided to have a drink in a canal side pub, as we went inside she put her sunglasses on the top of her head (can you see what’s coming next) we had our drink and set off home, about 2 miles on all you could hear was S**t S**t I’ve left my glasses in the pub.

I just looked at her with her glasses on the top of her head and said ” never mind love you’ll just have to buy another pair” she eventually found them several hours later when she looked in the mirror.

What you have to remember Leigh is that old people like to get confused, why do you think so many go to the rugby, half of them can’t see the pitch, they think they are at the latics!

Only problem with the train, the game might go in to extra time.

Well said Progresswithunity, nail on head,

Seems to me that both of these clowns were taken to central park when nippers, so all they ever experienced when growing up was glory. Now my guess is that if the futunes of the Latics and the rugby were reversed in the 80s and 90s neither mutty or t’arse would support the rugby now.

The fact that mutty is a sunderland fan goes some way to prove my point, he was quite happy to get behind the rugby (successful) but not Latics (struggling). Didn’t have the balls to support his towns football team because they were not good enough.

As I’ve said before as supporters go the average worrier fan is not fit to tie our laces.

Why as this thread been put on the non football stuff?

I now know why you call yourself tightarse, that’s the bit of your body you talk out of!

Think you will find that when we were in the bottom tire of the football league ( that being the 4th tire of the English league) our average attendance was greater than when your team were in the second tire of RL ( for comparison the season both teams were promoted).

    Rugby town my arse

RL glory hunters av s**t um!

in reply to: The real reason our crowds have dropped off a cliff #6303

So going back to what I was saying, you started going by your own choice after wigan were the world champs.

Would you of bothered if they were a 2nd tire team? Come on now honest answer.

because it’s before your time but the rugby could not attract an average of 4000 when they were in the second tire!

in reply to: The real reason our crowds have dropped off a cliff #6301

So you started to follow them the season after they won the challenge cup! GLORY HUNTER pathetic!

in reply to: The real reason our crowds have dropped off a cliff #6299

Tightarse, mutty, question when did you both start supporting the rugby what season? my guess is the both of you started following the rugby some time after Wigan were the world champs.

If that is so that would make you both JCL glory hunters, or in my book, fickle. You both have the nerve to come on here and have a pop at fans that have followed the latics up through the divisions.

As supporters go you are not fit to tie our shoe laces! So come on when did you both start following the rugby?

Before you ask my first Latics game was Coventry away 91.

The likes of tightarse makes me laugh, if the worriers were in the 2nd tire of RL he like so many of the rugby lot would have nowt do with them,

The only reason he started supporting the rugby was that they were the only professional team and could win week in week out (or maybe he went when they were a 2nd tire side, I doubt it).

The reason he is on this board so much is down to insecurity, if he had supported the rugby during the hard times he would not give a toss about the Latics,

For me the damage was done after our first season in prem with the huge hike in the cost of tickets, put people off. Couple that with the fact that whelan was in dispute with his workers at JJB, many a worker vowed to never give whelan a penny ever again ( sorry can’t remember what the dispute was over). These fans never returned

And I suppose the fact that most games can be watched in the pub doesn’t help,

But in a nutshell for me it’s all about cost, why would any armchair fan get off his arse and pay pay £30 to watch us get mauled by the big clubs or when we are holding our own get cheated by the referee!

Think we will only start to attract new fans when we start to beat the big clubs. People will make the effort if they think we have a chance of beating the likes of utd!

in reply to: Utter, utter disgrace #6208

When playing us I’m convinced that when a utd player is on a yellow card it becomes impossible for said player to get sent off. Scholes must think he can get away with murder at our place after some of the stunts he’s pulled!

in reply to: C’mon Tics #6152

    You been drinking dodi?

in reply to: Utter, utter disgrace #6121

Vidic smacking hugo in the face was a utter disgrace, Webb not seeing it a disgrace, That gobshite scholes smacking Gomez in the face, should of gone, Webb didn’t see it, a disgrace

As for Valencia, lost the ball decided to throw himself to the ground holding his face ( didn’t learn that trick at Wigan ) a disgrace,

Plastic mancs sat behind me a disgrace, grow some balls and get behind your towns team. W**kers!

    Rant over!
