14 April 2013 at 9:12 pm #109214I hope the club thanks yesterdays fans by making sure every one who went can get a ticket for the final if they want oneforget not he fans (season ticket holders) who’ve supported through thick and thin latics first eleven, third string etc. (bradford, bournemouth etc. etc.) over the years, but were unable to get to yesterday’s game
one swallow and all that …
balanced approach please …..
14 April 2013 at 10:34 pm #109253Sod all that!!!! Queue all day and all night and get on granada reports holding your 2 tickets.
14 April 2013 at 11:20 pm #109285Anyone who was at the 3rd round match at Maine Road in 71 should be given first choice ! Can’t be many of us around.
15 April 2013 at 2:16 pm #109385ME AND THE WIFE WAS THERE SO THATS THREE TICKETS GONE BY THE WAY ARE YOU NAMED AFTER BIG ERIC A HERO IN TWELVE MATCHES
15 April 2013 at 4:40 pm #109417I was at Maine Road too, so that’s another one. Eric Makin, big and blonde, no skill whatsoever, but a hell of a battering ram.

I have just been told by a very reliable source, that tickets will be, shareholders, club members with season tickets and corporate sponsors first.
Secondly, 1(ONE) per season ticket holder, then one per person on the club data base with purchasing history, these will be sold in in 4 seperate groups, group one being the most purchases on the account, so the more tickets you have bought further up the queue you are.
After this the previous groups will be able to purchase one further ticket in the same order for family or friends. They will then go on general sale to people registered on the data base with little purchasing history.
The club think this is the fairest way of distributing a limited supply and will allow more people who actually go to games, as opposed to friends and family members getting seats from season ticket holders despite rarely going to games.
Announcement due Friday.
15 April 2013 at 6:52 pm #109454that was my first ever match maine road 71
must be a few of us on here ?15 April 2013 at 7:06 pm #109458I was due to play a game on Laithwaite Park that day. It had been frosty the night before and I was desperately trying to get hold of a referee to call it off in time so I could go to Maine Road. Managed it in the end after knocking on a few doors and persuading one to come out and do the necessary.
15 April 2013 at 9:57 pm #109489I was there right in the middle of the Kippax with my best mate, his father in law and brother in law (all Citeh fans). Created a bit of attention when I started shouting for the Latics. I kept annoying them by giving them a time check – 10 minutes and you’ve not scored, 20, etc. Wasn’t it Roy Tunks splitting his boot that gifted them the goal?

I was 13 at the time and we sat with the rest of the Latics fans in the Platt lane stand, wasn’t Dennis Reeves the goalkeeper, I know for certain it wasn’t Roy Tunks.
15 April 2013 at 11:07 pm #109493It was Dennis Reeves.
15 April 2013 at 11:20 pm #109494Eric is, indeed, my inspiration. An early Conor Sammon. Played against Boston Utd in FA Trophy replay and scared them to death. It was downhill after that though,
16 April 2013 at 12:26 am #109503It was my first game too. Mates dad took us, picked up the coach behind old market hall. Only real memory was sitting on wooden benches at the end Colin Bell scored. I think City wore their AC Milan kit! Just remember feeling dead proud of Latics…just like on Saturday!!!!
16 April 2013 at 12:40 am #109505I think City wore their AC Milan kit!Correct – another of my colourisations:
