On the way down from block 502 after the game – and it was a long way down – I was chatting and reminiscing with no other than the legend that is Tommy Gore. I overheard quote a few people say, “who’s that bloke with Sammy?”.
I think you need to sit an exam on Latics history before you can qualify for a ticket.
I heard people saying he was there before the game on the concourse.
Before my time, but I know he’s a Liverpooler who played late 70s early 80s and scored that winner at Chelsea in the cup.
Sammy, can I ask, are you pretty much bald and have sold programmes on eBay?
If so, I think I came and picked one up off you. You live in Standish? (I sold it on, Wigan v Newcastle from 54, to none other than Chris boughey, a top latics fan)
all too complicated. whoever went semi should be entitled to same tickets as they got then.
first message so not sure how to deal all this “boardcode” goblledegook
well its your second message are you a jcls lol anyway im up for some freesbies again had a great weekend with the family at wembley great hotel and didnt see any trouble whats all the fuss about just q up when theyre out no problem
A) There’s no chance of all 9,000 deciding to buy tickets.
B) There’s no chance of everyone who buys a ticket buying 2 each.
At most 14/15,000 would get sold from ST sales.
Leaving about 10,500 for general sale.
Easy.
Given the massive seating problems that would arise, as part of our party we have once long term ST holders who for various reasons don’t hold one this season. That should not be held against them. Also there’s lots of parents who take their kids but don’t hold a ST for them. Would it be right for a dad to take an 8 year old and have to sit apart?
In my opinion it would leave a lot of season ticket holders waiting until general release so they can sit as a group. Wouldn’t surprise me if City fans snapped up a good 10,000 in the Wigan end due to getting themselves on the database for Wigan’s next 2 home games.

Well if they sit in the South Stand they will cos it’s basically free for kids. The Lads and Dads scheme means if you have a kid under 16 then you get a season ticket for both for the price of one.

You have me mixed up with someone else Dave. I have not sold programmes on e-bay nor do I live in Standish. Neither am I follically challenged and given my age and family history doubt I ever will be!
