Has sadly not made it in time to make this years xmas blooper videos.
24 November 2012 at 9:45 pm #97061Jordi Gomez scores a hat-trick.
Ali makes an absolute howler. So whose name was chanted at the end of the game?
24 November 2012 at 9:47 pm #97063Has sadly not made it in time to make this years xmas blooper videos. He is a top draw shot stopper, but when it comes down to dealing with crosses and distribution he is left wanting.
Their first goal was hanging in the air for 5 mins just five or 6 yards out and he chose to stay on his line.
World class save from their number 12 at 2-2 though. goodpostFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 November 2012 at 9:57 pm #97064I wouldnt swap him for any other keeper in the world, keeping us in the game with a cracking save at 2-2…again. Loves to play for the club, we are very lucky to have him, thanks Bowton.

World class save from their number 12 at 2-2 though. goodpost[/quote]I think you need to take a look at our defence.
e.g. Crouch /Stoke (2-2), and Morrison /West Brom (0-1)
Lose count the number of times we’re getting done on set pieces, or balls in from the by-line and pretty hacked off about it. Commanding centre-half (in the air) in our ranks ? Don’t see it (put their head where others wouldn’t…)
3 Latics players in amongst Morrison today (Figueroa, Jones and BJour) yet the defender comes up trumps (0-1)!
5 minutes later, observed Morrison come up for a corner, paid particular regard to our defence preparing themselves in readiness. You’d have thought lesson had been learnt. But no, not picked up, Ramis for one allowed him to walk on by. The guy almost made it 2-0 at the far post.

Fair comment but when talking about our defence, please include Ali in that. I to wouldn’t swap him for anyone else, but if any other player had made an howler like that, he would have been hung drawn and quartered on here.
I would sooner he come out and make a bollock, than just sit on his line and watch the ball power past him.
90% of the time if a keeper comes out and gets beat, the ref sees everybody falling to the ground and give a free kick for a foul on the keeper. I saw the highlights of a game last week and the keeper ran in to his own team mate and the ref gave a free kick. Anyroad I dont want to take the shine of today’s win, I’m going out and getting bladdered. From Matlock to ManU

Two buffoons, then? You wouldn’t swap him for any keeper in the world? Give yourselves a shake, lads.
25 November 2012 at 1:19 am #97086Oh heck! Didnt realise i was going to touch a nerve with this one. Overall al habsi is the best keeper we have had since getting into the premier league. The comment was merely tongue in cheek & trying to make light of the situation.

That is such a silly question to ask on every level ishmael.
I thought everyone who reads this board knows that griff would pick himself to do the job, in his mind he is superior to every other person on the planet at what ever he does.
