I have been known to get canned up on occasion.
Your points cup winners about substitutions are all fair and indeed would probably have improved our current situation. I’m sure Leam would acknowledge some points as well. They are, however, all made in hindsight. Even the games we look have won comfortably didn’t feel comfortable to me at the time so upsetting the balance of the team could have left us with less points than we have now.
No manager has a crystal ball so every decision is a gamble and I think Leam has got a lot right, hence our position in the league.
Who would you swap with? Klopp? Pep? Lampard? Evtwatt? Caldwell?
29 April 2022 at 9:29 am #196400Going so far in the PJ hasnt helped, as dates where fixtures could have been played were then removed from the calendar, so you had a fresh first choice 11 kicking their heels in January whilst the squad men faced Oldham & Arsenal’s kids.
You are not seeing a squad on its arse because of the season – its because of the fixture congestion over the last month.
29 April 2022 at 10:32 am #196402We played our first team at Oldham.
They were kicking their heels because everyone was calling games off against us.
29 April 2022 at 11:49 am #196404Granted, but had you managed to get out of the PJ before Christmas, then the dates for Oldham, Arsenal & Sutton would have been free for the games missed.
Imagine if you’d made the final and had to squeeze Bolton into this month too – that point could well be the difference between automatics and the lottery of the playoffs.
29 April 2022 at 12:10 pm #196405I was up for us going for it in all the cups naively, being an old school romantic. But it has taken its toll for all the reasons mentioned and this months crazy schedule.
Still think the efl tried to stuff us up tho as a couple of the games could have been played in January.

I’d have gone out in the groups personally. Terrible comp.
30 April 2022 at 3:47 pm #196412Champions ! superb ,watched it at the beam back great atmosphere although wish I was at Shrewsbury to witness it live. We need to strengthen next season as we all know but despite some on here I have every faith in Leam Richardson and his team ,we should thank our lucky stars we have got him. Roll on next season .
30 April 2022 at 5:04 pm #196413Amazing achievement in one of the strongest league one for many years.
80 points to get in the play offs and incredible to see this brilliant makeshift squad win the division.
Leam and the owners have done a great job restoring this club back to where they should be !
Btw feck off you South Yorkshire freeloading vultures , hope you are cursed for many years !!30 April 2022 at 6:14 pm #196414From the despair of the last 18 months to league champions this season. What a club.

30 April 2022 at 8:38 pm #196417Well I’ve polished off some Madri and now I’m going for some New Zealand Mudhouse Sauvingion Blanc ( which I hope doesn’t have a goalsgalore toenail in it)
1 May 2022 at 9:21 am #196420Congratulations. Not quite leicester-esque but to have gone from relegation escapees to top of the pile in 12 months is a great achievement, and shows what can be done with a bit of organisation, team spirit and a never-say-die attitude.
1 May 2022 at 10:59 am #196421I was there yesterday and I was in no doubt we’d win. Those players went into that game with a winning mentality and it paid off handsomely.
Just need a Chelsea win then it’s a trip to Boooo Park next season1 May 2022 at 11:31 am #196423Fortunate enough to be there yesterday……not had many better days watching us (if any). Unbelievable season long effort from everyone connected at the club. Top of league and top goalscorer…..what an achievement. F@@@ thinking about what we need to do in preparation for next season…..I’m sure that the managementis already at it in the back ground…I’m just going to bask in this all summer. What a season !!!
