Not to worry horc the EFL have probably got someone lined up obviously at their expense, Sam Alladyce is free and Moanrinho.
22 August 2019 at 12:15 am #180617The combination of people not getting this deal to sell the club over the line and the tangled web which that is involved in, and making us play the game [against Tranmere], has hung all the staff and players out to dry.
“Honestly, it’s just unacceptable. This is Bolton Wanderers Football Club, a fantastic club with a great history, and we need a bit of help. If it’s not going to be sold, we need to be able to bring some players in.
Bury need some help too Phil but nobody seems to give a stuff
22 August 2019 at 2:54 am #180619I know it isn’t the said thing, but I really feel sorry for the Bolton fans, it must be torture for them and all of the people who work directly and indirectly for them. Bury looking like the end of the road this week for them, again feel for them. We have been lucky with ownership for a long time , whether u liked whelan or not he left us in a much better position than when he took over and whilst the new lot are silent, they have invested this summer. Thanks for small mercies on the own ship front. Back to Bolton, they must get another deduction and will pull off a miracle if they aren’t relegated, that’s if they survive financially. Atherton collieries offered Bolton fans free entrance last night, don’t know how many turned up.

Nobody wants them to go bust relegation will more than suffice. My problem is the EFL. How many rules do Bolton have to break before they are charged with something. Bury have the squad and can field teams but are told they cannot play whereas Bolton have no players of note yet the EFL tell them they must play. It’s a ridiculous situation brought on by mind blowing numb skull rules the EFL are placing on both clubs. Yes both clubs are in this position because of useless owners but surely the rules for both now they are in dire straits must be the same. Steve Dale has constantly and openly stated in the media that the money and guarantees are there but the EFL keep moving the goalposts. Now would you do that if it was false. As much as I dislike the dodgy get something is telling me that this is not all down to him. Yet again this smacks of big club little club and the little club doesn’t matter a jot. You pricks at the EFL hang your heads in shame you gobshites.
26 August 2019 at 2:59 pm #180704The latest takeover at Bolton has fallen through who knows what will happen next just so glad it’s not us going through it.
26 August 2019 at 3:16 pm #180706It could quite easily be any club while football is run and financed like it is. It oviouslly starts at the very top with the vulgar salaries players are paid and this just trickles down the system.
Both decent and unscrupulous owners own clubs as if it’s a status symbol and for God knows many other reasons.
The souls of most clubs have been ripped out and rather than be a part of communities that local people followed clubs have become no more than sales and marketing tools.
Do any clubs actually stand on their own feet anymore? No us included need much more cash to run and support the many ongoing cash drains that clubs all carry nowadays.
If Horwich do go pop it could very well be a relief for the fans who could regroup and reform their club from scratch. If not they will just go back into the same situation as before.
Over 150 staff have been reliant on Horwich for jobs. Now how can that be cost effective on crowds of less than 15000 last season for 23 matches. It just isn’t especially with the ridiculous salary demands of football players coaches and management.26 August 2019 at 3:24 pm #18070726 August 2019 at 4:06 pm #180710Despite some of their horrible vile people who purport to support them I honestly hope they pull through this but it looks very bleak now.
A dying football club is a very sad and sorry sight and I only feel pity and sadness it has come to this.26 August 2019 at 4:36 pm #180711So it’s Ken’s turn to get the blame. What about F.V. who have dragged this out so they get the hotel as well. These ones already owe the PFA two million quid to finance things.
26 August 2019 at 8:41 pm #180716It must be one hell of a good hotel because it seems that’s all anyone interested in. I wonder what goes on in there?
But without a club surely the hotel can’t that profitable can it?26 August 2019 at 9:02 pm #180717It must be one hell of a good hotel because it seems that’s all anyone interested in. I wonder what goes on in there?

Marketed right it could be profitable, not to mention the conference trade.26 August 2019 at 9:09 pm #180718It must be one hell of a good hotel because it seems that’s all anyone interested in. I wonder what goes on in there?
