    Thanks HORC,

I only act daft at the weekend; I guess that’s a relief valve from all the serious stuff that I have to deal with during working hours.

Now that’s funny, how in the hell do you know what the rest of us do for a living, you two great mates?

The fact that the Bank of England and all the major financiers say stay in Europe or we’ll face rapid economic decline or how long trade agreements take doesn’t matter, listen to LHL he’s been to the Volvo factory

I can raise you your Volvo btw

The French are a nation of strikers, as seen during the Euro’s, I don’t see how us coming out will change that. If anything, coming out will change for the worse at the French borders.

We don’t mind a strike either, always backed by a Union, such as a truckers strike. Unions will cease to exist should we come out under a Tory government.

I think if you have a point you are keen on arguing in the effort to leave, you have to think the option to leave would make that particular argument better. I can’t see anyone answering their issues with any reason why leaving would make those concerns better, yet we’d be on our own from that point with a failing currency.

To leave would take approximately 2 years, the value of our currency will fall within seconds. Be careful what you wish for, the alternative is usually worse.

      RIP Jo Cox – horrific

Tez, are you deliberately missing the point on purpose?. As a union of countries we are meant to be working together to make Europe prosper and all member countries pulling in the same direction. Greece being an example of when the EU actually works. France constantly fails to toe the line and it is always Britain who bears the biggest scars for their actions. In a proper European family this would not be allowed to happen. The European commission can threaten to sue the UK if we introduce the levy on European trucks who use our roads whilst all other member countries have this tax which generates billions of pounds each year for the rest of the EU {explain that marrer} yet allow France to basically hold everyone else to ransom. Immigration, if you commit a serious offence whilst abroad you will be deported from the country you are in yet the immigrants in Calais Sangatte etc seriously break the law every day and are rounded up and put back in the camps to break the law again the next day. If the EU worked this problem would be sorted out. Working time directive, yet another brilliant plan by the French to minimise the hours we are allowed to work yet as soon as they realise in a lot of business sectors it simply cannot work they yet again fail to comply with their own directive which the EU implements. Transport, The EU introduces the driver CPC directive which means anyone who drives professionally must undertake 35 hours of training before September 2014. Anyone not completing this directive can no longer drive until adequate training has been taken. Guess what? only the UK adhere to this ruling costing British companies millions in training programs then the EU relax the deadline for other countries some as late as 2018. The general census is that this ridiculous directive will be scrapped because foreign drivers will not complete their CPC. I could make many more points why we should think about leaving Tez but you wont get them so it is pointless.

In an ideal European Union Britain would be treated as a major influence and partner but it comes across as the EU likes to put our glorious nations of the UK in their place at every opportunity.

As a footnote Tez, Standish and Sammy, The British government, leading prominent members of trade and commerce and some of the biggest brains in the UK have decreed that a referendum to stay or leave is needed. If the EU was the way forward then no referendum would be happening. Cameron met with the EU trying to get the right deal for Britain yet came away disappointed and so it is going to the vote. How the hell can you say that staying is paramount when the people who run these cherished Isles are unsure?

      #149053

      you are right, Mr Nuneaton.

Cameron openly stated on TV last week that there are many aspects of the EU that he doesn’t like and doesn’t support. He is resigned to the fact that it is incredibly difficult to change things but appears not to have the conviction of his true feelings to break the mould.
However, when the country votes LEAVE next week, he will change his tact because if we flounder he can always use that time honoured excuse – I told you so !

As for Bankers & Financiers, do we really trust them; with their inflated bonuses and flaky track record.

Nuneaton, you made a point originally, I asked how leaving would make that better. Despite leaving a full page article I still don’t see how you’ve given a definitive answer as to how leaving will make your plight better only that you won’t be answerable to ‘Them’. I don’t really see what I need to get, as you put it.

I have a number of issues which I’ve listed, which are real issues for each and every one of us or someone we know. I can’t see how they can be overlooked as what is important in this referendum. Lengthy Trade deals, border security, economy, unions, currency crashes, NHS. have a think about those issues and forget about politicians when you are doing it. Of course I trust financiers, banks & finance houses when talking about expectations. I only have to look at the falling pound on xe.com as I worry about paying for my Summer holiday in Euros. It isn’t rocket science, it should be all you need as evidence but the trouble is most people don’t understand money, the markets or finance.

The fact that Cameron has called for a referendum but is voting to stay somewhat negates your argument, Of course there are some things he’d like to change but it’s the overall package which keeps us safe. I think the only problem is he didn’t allow for how many little Englanders there are, believing Turkey and the likes are about to invade. it will be a heck of a lot closer than he imagined.

I worry massively about the effects of a leave vote, not because I want to stay, just because of what I believe will happen should we leave.

As I’ve said I’m still undecided what to do, this was an interesting post on FB.

I had done a Masters degree in the 70s; brought up my family, and by the early 2000s was ready to return to University. I was privileged to return to University to complete a Second Masters Degree; this time in European Policy, European Law and European Economic Analysis. Words cannot describe the horror I felt as I delved into the truth of the EU. Sends shivers down my spine to this day, remembering the horror of the realisation, that we had been hoodwinked into the EU by deceitful, disingenuous, intentionally devious means. The populace of the UK was never intended to find out the truth behind the EU, until they reckoned it was too late. Truth is it almost….almost…almost is too late. We already are, in the UK, all but a federal state in the United States of Europe. You never quite realised that, did you? Why? Because ‘ they very deliberately decided not to tell you! They deliberately created a political elite who knew full well that power was being ceded , systematically, Treaty by Treaty, to the EU. But who knew? They did! But were we the UK populace ever informed? Absolutely not! Why? They made mega millions from EU scammery & we the minions were shafted day, daily, monthly, yearly & forever. Where did your pensions go? Where did your schools, your NHS, your housing, your social services go? Well, £55 million per day, every day, every week, every month, every year….. Guess what? That is why UK is bankrupted for generations to come, with a £1.5 trillion pound debt. I wish I could enlighten the populace of the UK to the real truth about the EU. I spent a year studying the EU in depth, visiting both the EU Parliament and EU Commission in Brussels. Every word I heard in lectures, hundreds of hours of lectures, every word I researched for my thesis and every thing I saw in Brussels, lead me to the inescapable conclusion that the EU is an utterly corrupt, profligate, political monstrosity which has destroyed British jobs and bankrupted the UK for generations to come. The EU operates on lobbying, which is the technical term for bribery and corruption. Whatever Cameron says, EU law has supremacy over our UK law unless there is Treaty change. He may say so but the truth is that 27 other countries will never agree, this side of eternity, to change the Treaties.
So …..what is the connection between the EU, the Bilderberg Group and the almost completed TTIP? (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership)
The Bilderberg Group meet in secret each year and they are a group of phenomenally wealthy men and women from the worlds of big business, banking and politics, coming from across Europe and the US.
The TTIP represents an integral component of Bilderberg’s attempt to rescue the unipolar world (New World Order) by creating a “world company,” initially a free trade area, which would connect the United States with Europe. Just as the European Union started as a mere free trade area and was eventually transformed into a political federation which controls upwards of 50 per cent of its member states’ laws and regulations with total contempt for national sovereignty and democracy, TTIP is designed to accomplish the same goal, only on a bigger scale.
The treaty is likely to advantage the corporations of both the US and the EU, while disadvantaging their people. It presents a danger to democracy and public protection throughout the trading area.
The Bilderberg Group are focussing on how to derail a global political awakening that threatens to hinder Bilderberg’s long standing agenda to centralize power into a one world political federation, a goal set to be advanced with the passage of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP),
Bilderberg globalists are aghast and there is panic in the ranks that their planned EU superstate is being eroded as a result of a populist resistance all around Europe, mainly centred around animosity towards uncontrolled immigration policies.
And just who might we expect to find at such a secret gathering? Angela Merkel, Herman Van Rompuy (ex President of EU Council), Jean Claude Juncker, (Present President of the EU Commission), Martin Schultz,( Present President of EU Parliament), David Cameron, George Osbourne, Tony Blair, Ed Balls, Rona Fairhead, (Chair of the BBC Trust), Michael O’Leary of RyanAir, Stuart Rose (ex M & S, and BSE Chairman), Bill Clinton, Barak Obama………..…and many more. What do they all have in common? They are all trying to persuade you to stay in the EU. Why? Because it is in their warped self interest to do so! Is any of this in your interests? Absolutely not! Their modus operandi is that truth becomes lies and lies become truth. Sound familiar?
