Did anyone think like me when Sheridan was named manager like “Oh my fcukin God”. His long managerial lower league career is littered with failures and sackings.
That MK Don’s performance was a shocker.Don’t blame your tools I say

Spot om CW, except for one tool…… We could start with getting rid (if we can) of that waste of space Massey, he is fuckin’ awful, shit scared to tackle, can’t take a player on and basically gives the team zilch!
We must have another wide player that would work his bollocks off for the team and shirt, lets be honest he couldn’t do any worse, every time lazy arse Massey is on the pitch we may as well play with ten men, bloody useless!
Edit..His body language when he got hooked last night spoke volumes.
Fuck the EFL
28 October 2020 at 6:18 pm #189814Sheridan was a poor appointment but probably all we could really go with. It was him or Grayson apparently.
Massey has had 6 good months with us when his contract was up.
He was taken off injured last night which might explain his body language, but aye….he’s shite. I’ll agree on that.
29 October 2020 at 12:11 pm #189815Or is it simply a case of Massey being made to play at full back as opposed to his more normal position?
29 October 2020 at 1:08 pm #189816Playing out of position won’t help, but I’ve never been a huge fan of his aside from that spell at the end of our first Championship season.

I actually think he played better at fullback, than in his so called natural position.
Also think he might have an attitude problem and he thinks that league 1 is below his level (would rather he work hard and prove his talent, rather than sulk).Personally I wouldn’t pick him; I’d sooner give one on the keen young bloods a chance !

Wouldn’t this have been (and isn’t it still) the ideal situation to take a risk and give a young first time manager a shot? Surely there had to other options out there. I would think someone looking for their first time in charge would jump at the chance. If you are successful, can move on quickly/build a reputation, and if not, could have just blamed the situation.
I would have much rather they gone in that direction than going with an mediocre (at best) retread.
1 November 2020 at 1:32 pm #189843Absolutely dreading this game, this is one hell of a banana skin for us and will be a total embarrassment to WAFC if we fuck this up.
Chorley near the bottom of Conference League North with only a draw to their name this season will be up for this one, its coming to something when others and myself are thinking this way, from May 11th 2013 to this, i hope with the latest lockdown this week that this game is postponed, just can’t see us winning, God i hope i’m wrong!
Makes my blood boil the way we’ve been fucked over by all and sundry this past few months.
Fuck the EFL
1 November 2020 at 7:26 pm #189847Our Academy side should be more than enough to get past Chorley.
The second half performance yesterday would be enough to keep us in this league if we could manage it for 90 minutes.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Yes! I expect Chorley will be up for it & given our situation at present, will see this as a possible scalp. As for it being a total embarrassment to WAFC, how exactly? Despite our current predicament we remain the biggest littlest club in the country. TBH! I was actually more worried about facing Fylde a couple of seasons back.
2 November 2020 at 10:43 am #189855Our embarrassment and fall from grace will be complete after the game. How and why has this been allowed to happen.
2 November 2020 at 12:43 pm #189856If the Chorley manager reads the Latics forums,
he must be waiting for the next draw. This shows how much we have fallen, when basically we are waving the ‘white flag’,
before we face the European Champions Chorley F.C.2 November 2020 at 6:02 pm #189857Our manager is Sheridan Springy. He has been a total flop wherever he has been and he has showed in the last few games he hasn’t a clue what to do. I dont blame the players Massey apart who should be a talisman to the youngsters with his experience with Latics. Personally I would boot Sheridan out the door and let Liam take the kids out of the 23s and mould a team from them. Also yet again one of our kids (McGurk is being branded a super kid yet he is nowhere near the team. The players we have at the minute are not good enough so let’s bring in the lads who are playing together regularly. What have we got to lose.
2 November 2020 at 6:39 pm #189858Isn’t McGurk only 17? Bringing him into a team that is getting battered every week won’t do him any good. We need as much experience in the side as possible. Sadly, they are all L2 players on L2 wages.
Richardson has asked for help. He doesn’t want the job at the moment. Who is available, on our budget and willing to sign a weekly contract is the big sticking point. The same with buying and selling players, we aren’t exactly in a position to pick and choose who we want.
2 November 2020 at 6:44 pm #189859I am sorry to say this but I couldn’t care less about it I just want the takeover to complete.
At least then we can look forward to a future of sorts but at the moment the whole thing feels like limbo land.
The manager in fact the whole set up has an uncertain feel and until
The takeover occurs it just feels like one long close season.
I always hope we win and fully expect to beat Chorley But it’s very different when as a supporter you play no part. -
