Absolutely the worst performance by any Wigan athletic team in the last 30 years and that’s saying something during Kenny Swains era !!
A lack of interest and total lack of respect for the game , casual fist pumps after our goals , complete arrogance.I agree. They should have ran off and celebrated with the fans.
I watched that today and was shocked. Was Massey a regular last season, or is he at the end of a contract that originated when you were last in the 3rd division? I agree that he looked utter gash though, but then again so did everyone except the lad who was playing out right (Crankshaw – I think)
Serious question – how far do you think you’ll drop before you start to rise again (ie, do you think you’ll stay up, and if not, do you think you’ll come straight back up)?
Massey clearly thinks that after 4 good games in 2 years that he’s a Championship player despite nobody coming in for him. His attitude stinks at the moment.

Next season will depend on what sort of squad we have, but we could easily be struggling like Bolton are right now.

I thought Crankshaw was excellent but we didn’t get him on the ball enough.
We will more than likely be relegated. We have to totally reset the situation.
It’s heartbreaking watching what has happened but we aren’t the first club this has happened to and we won’t be the last. We just have to reset our expectations.
We need a Larry Lloyd type of player/manager, who would not tolerate players making the same mistakes nearly every match, he had passion and leadership and he led from the front and organised the defence to not only defend, but to start the attack against the opposition.
Sheridan could not lace his boots or management skills.

I watched the Man City – Liverpool game later on. One guy who was part of the panel would probably fit that bill. Roy Keane. But I very much doubt he would be interested.
Massey must never wear the shirt again and has to go through the same door as Sheridan. Thank Christ the next league game is off.

Couldnt agree more cw. It’s the so called experienced players that are killing the club not the younger ones.
