Anyone who wants to see a Latics game at the DW should be made more welcome than the tone of your (The Egg’s) message suggests. They might actually enjoy what they see and come again then become regular spectators, thus generating more income for the club.

Well in that case, we are at home on Saturday so I will see them there.

Realistically, they will turn up for the city game as either city fans in disguise or people just wanting to be there should a shock happen. Absolutely no help to the club at all.

There’ll be a few Latics fans getting their mates and relations who support City tickets.

My mate who supports City will be in the City end as he actually bothers to watch them.

No, you mean glory hunters and normally armchair City fans from Wigan who have never been near the Etihad, and probably never heard of Maine Road.
As far as I am concerned, and most other die hard LATICS fans I presume, they can feck off. Sooner have empty seats than a stadium full of those clowns.
Its amazing how many people have jumped on the City bandwagon. They’ve always been a big club, in a sense that they’re a City based club. But apart from that, I recall not that long ago really, when they struggled to get 20,000 in Maine Road. To hear them now, it’s like theyve always been a massively supported club with 50,000 every week. They were the biggest club in Manchester until the mid 1950s. But since then, until about 5 years ago they were in Uniteds shadow.

Anyway, I digress. Sooner have the empty seats than full of ‘Citeh’ Wiganers.

EDIT The arrogance on their site yesterday, claiming we will give them 8000 tickets and how we should give them our stands. Er… No. Feck off yer Manc bstards

They sold out in Div 2 in their defence Vat but obviously the bandwagon is rolling on.

They are turning into everything they have detested Utd for. Plastic fans from all over the place and signing whoever they want for whatever price they want.

Mostly because they almost knew they’d bounce straight back up. That play off game at Springfield, I had words in home end after I said something about City fans in home end and someone piped up at me “I’m a City fan from Wigan, what’s your problem?” can’t be dealing with that now, away fans in home end. 5000 away allocation is more than enough.

Of course we didn’t welcome any new fans from overseas or other parts of the UK when we were in the Prem did we?
That would be hypocritical wouldn’t it?

Relax segregation like Fulham ???!! are you fcukin off your trollie ??. This ain’t Snobland Fulham full of Johnny day tripping tourist trying to catch a game of Soccer this is Wigan against a club we have turned over twice in recent years and a fair bit of hatred built up going further back than the hand of goat. Do think City fans will happily sit on their hands if God forbid we score first ?.

If you want sporadic outburst of fighting around the stadium and everyone’s heads spun round looking at whats going on behind them then yeah !, let em in !!. Then after the game you will get “Why did they let City fans into the Wigan end ?” you can give them a rendition of We are the World and Give peace a Chance.

Give the scruffy bellends 4700 whatever, stick them in the away and and charge them £50 they can afford it. And stewards, if your are reading this do us a favor;-

If you see a trampus City flag shirt bearing fan trying to enter the Wigan end refuse them entry and point in the direction of the away end or to the Red Robin

let them in the Wigan end ?!, Holy fooksh!t shermoly, I’ve heard it all now

And where are they all now? Not fans then are they, they are just people who jumped on the bandwagon and will jump off as soon as we hit a bump in the road.

Just like plenty will want tickets for this, will sit there calling the players by their nicknames as though they’re best friends and will then slip back off to watching their actual teams in the pubs around town.

                    No thanks.

Many fans have dropped off the Bandwagon this season for all the cup games Egg. A few more returned last Saturday. Hope there’s nearly ten thousand home fans there this Saturday.

We will go from averaging around 9k home fans to 14/15k though. Then back to 9k the week after and the extras wont be seen again until the trophy wings its way to town in April/May.

These are not the people we need or want.

When I logged in to purchase tickets for the West Ham game it only gave me the option of my own seat? I wanted 2 tickets! When it comes to purchasing tickets for the City game ( will want one for a mate ) what do I do? Maybe I am being stupid here but did I overlook anything?

Apparently there was a problem – I had the same issue with people on my “network” and they said there was a problem.
Hopefully it will be sorted for City.

The solution is a simple one, Firstly tickets go on sale to season ticket holders that just want their seat.
Secondly to season tickets holders that require more seats and not too bothered about sitting in their usual seat.
Thirdly on sale to people with a booking history.

And if there are any left, general sale but you have to pass a quiz about Wigan Latics.

That’s probably not really helped you that much Fil.

I didn’t have any option but my own seat and I couldn’t hover over available seats in order to purchase!

I had problems as well, I could only get my own and had to log on as my son to get his, normally I could just log on as my self and buy his from my account.
