Please …a striker with prescence …a nippy winger ….and Colclough starting.Oh and substitutions before last 5 mins

Their number 18 tonight put Grigg and Toney to shame. Was nippy and tricky as hell, in a young Jermain Defoe kind of way. He very nearly did us, late on.[/quote]

Because he got behind us once? Oh aye. Put em to shame. Couple of draws and the toys come out the pram. Pathetic our fans. Even heard boos tonight at final whistle. Cook must wonder why he bothers. Best start go a season perhaps in our history and the lads get booed for struggling to break down a couple of teams who have parked the bus.

I’m going to Northampton with a probable hangover on New Years Day and if we play like that again I want a bloody refund or it will be Cook out, if they can’t be arsed why should I with my hard earned money.

        These people for real?

Quite possibly but certainly won’t be all Billy big bollocks if I do and we lose. Asking for refunds, the Manager to be sacked and suggesting the players aren’t trying. Some of our fans are like big soft birds. Grow a pair!

It is hard to argue against Paul Cooks 4231 formation when we are sitting at the top of the league with the most goals scored and the least against. However on the other hand it is quite a long time since we witnessed a really good home performance. Surely it must be worth being a little more flexible whilst playing at home against the bus parkers. Saying that both the Shrewsbury and Addicks have been so lucky in the last two matches.

He got behind us all night, pal.
His movement and pace was superb. Only young as well. Good player and make no mistake. Different to either Grigg or Toney. Pacy and lively. Gave defence a torrid time.

Wanting cook out is a bit harsh. Whatever happens today, we’ll still be top. I cant recall any club sacking their manager who is top of the league. Now that would be football gone mad.

He was joking with the Cook Out title. It was a touch of irony/sarcasm aimed at goading posters into an argument. Nobody would actually want that but from the comments many would like to see some flexibility against teams who come and park the bus.

No ones throwing toys out, just stating the obvious. This league is shit.Even when we are not on the ball we can beat most teams but when we play the teams around us Rovers,Bradford,Shrews twice we have struggled. Not a fan of Toney but he did make a difference when he came on.This Grigg on his own with long diagonal balls was pointless he needs service from wide and they were piss poor last night.Need some pace down the flanks and striker who can put it about.I’m sure Cook will address this soon but i predicted we’d get 4pts from the 3 games so the extra point a bonus(tongue i cheek).

If he got behind us all night how did he not register a single shot on target? Could you show us on the highlights how many times he ‘got in’ as I must have had a blindfold on. I do remember we backed off in second half and he hit the corner flag. Again, I’m happy to be proved wrong.

This league is shit because we are the mighty Wigan Athletic who by rights should walk it because we have huge financial backing and massive crowds with a superb playing squad that pretty much embarrassed itself in the Championship last time out. It’s awful to think we might only hit the 100 point barrier come the end of the season with this ‘clown’ in charge.

That was my earlier point. I get so frustrated when we have someone on the ball, whether it be the flanks or in the middle, who has a chance to run at the opposition defence, but then stops dead to look for a sideways pass allowing their defence & midfield to regroup.

Get a grip…..who called him a clown ? You have your opinion i have mine.We have got a far bigger budget that most teams in this league but that guarantees nothing,Shrewsbury proving that.We haven’t played like a top 2 team at home for a while yet away we prosper cos they go at us and give us space. We just need to be more pro active early on in games at home and move the ball quicker but we plod along giving them time to settle into a pattern then throw caution to the wind for last 20 mins.We are top and we should make THEM sweat …not us.Hope ho.e teams don’t start parking the bus on our travels too !!!

                              Ok.

First half, he got behind Dan Burn, beat him for pace and fired into side netting. He might have done the same earlier as well. He was a handful.
Second half, he again kept getting in behind Burn and Dunkley, with his fast pace. On one occasion he went around Walton, but saw his shot blocked for a corner. He gave the defence their hardest game for a while, as he also backed into them well with the ball, holding it up for others.
Late on, he ran from near the half way as they broke away, and was inches off scoring the winner.

                              That good enough?
