Wanting cook out is a bit harsh. Whatever happens today, we’ll still be top. I cant recall any club sacking their manager who is top of the league. Now that would be football gone mad.
He was joking with the Cook Out title. It was a touch of irony/sarcasm aimed at goading posters into an argument. Nobody would actually want that but from the comments many would like to see some flexibility against teams who come and park the bus.
Getting it in before the usual suspects. Plenty round me were booing and having a go at the players.
We wont wallop every one every game but we need to be smarter to beat teams that park the bus.
Lee evans can hit a ball and needs to more often same with powell. Massey is shit.

Agree with you.
Not even after us walloping teams, id just like a goal or two, a one or two nil win.
30 December 2017 at 4:49 pm #164628Please …a striker with prescence …a nippy winger ….and Colclough starting.Oh and substitutions before last 5 mins
Their number 18 tonight put Grigg and Toney to shame. Was nippy and tricky as hell, in a young Jermain Defoe kind of way. He very nearly did us, late on.
Because he got behind us once? Oh aye. Put em to shame. Couple of draws and the toys come out the pram. Pathetic our fans. Even heard boos tonight at final whistle. Cook must wonder why he bothers. Best start go a season perhaps in our history and the lads get booed for struggling to break down a couple of teams who have parked the bus.
At last a post with sense….
cannot believe what I’m reading here it ain’t cooks fault if other managers game plan is not to lose. City could only score one against a poor Newcastle team and were their fans wanting pep out…. ffs..
and the booing at the end… embarrassing!30 December 2017 at 4:59 pm #164629So a lad put us to shame who hit side netting and missed another chance. Aye. We were ripped apart.
30 December 2017 at 5:05 pm #164630Jimmy c, i have to agree with you. As frustrated as what i (& from the sound of things a few others) have been these past 2 games, the booing that i heard at the end of last nights game for a team that might i remind people is TOP OF THE LEAGUE, is despicable & embarrassing.
Jesus himself only knows what would have happened had we lost both games.
30 December 2017 at 5:13 pm #164633Yes it is all tongue in cheek and very frustrating I lost all me New Years Eve beer money betting on a Tics win last night but that’s just tough shit and that’s footy.
30 December 2017 at 5:56 pm #164636So attack the team cos your daft enough to spunk a load of money away betting on a game of football you silly sod. Comments on here are an absolute joke. We’ve not even lost a bloody game.
30 December 2017 at 8:15 pm #16464030 left and both Rovers and Shrewsbury winning…..hope one of em f@@@s up……then again we certainly gave them something to aim at.Sorry ..but backed Wigan to win league at 10’s…..had a saver last week on Rovers..22 pts out of their last possible 24 !!!
30 December 2017 at 8:59 pm #164642Well done Scunny….that took the wind out Mowbrays sails
30 December 2017 at 9:20 pm #164643I think the booing at the end of the game was aimed at charton players for time wasting

I was too Runcorn and said to the lad next to me after 10 mins that this isn’t going to be a good game to watch.
For sure we struggle to break teams down at home and I’ve criticised our tac tics at times and would love to see a plan B. We saw a change in approach late on which nearly worked. Let’s hope cook recognises the need for this and makes changes early on in games to break this negative approach by the opposition up.
30 December 2017 at 10:14 pm #164646I think the booing at the end of the game was aimed at charton players for time wastingCourse it was. All the shouting at players to get forward and booing when we went sideways was as well I presume.

Course it was31 December 2017 at 2:59 am #164655So a lad put us to shame who hit side netting and missed another chance. Aye. We were ripped apart. No, dont misquote me for your own interests.
His movement and pace put our FORWARDS to shame. He went closer than any of our strikers to scoring and his movement and pace caught out Dunkley and Burn a few times. Fact.
31 December 2017 at 3:04 am #164656We need to go at teams from the off. Get straight at them, go a goal up and knock the wind out of them. Their heads will go down and we will end up with 2 or 3.
Next home game is Peterborough who played 55 mins against 9 men MK Dons today and couldnt score. Surely we have to get into these men straight away?
