28 August 2013 at 9:04 pm #120019Let me categorically state, there is no way I am heading to Anzhi Makkalaka or Kazakhstan on a supporters club plane with no ale!It wouldn’t be a supporters club plane. It would be a CLUB plane.
28 August 2013 at 9:12 pm #120020I think there’s a plane just gone over your head
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH……………………..
28 August 2013 at 11:03 pm #120021apologies to Griff if this is dull but has anyone heard any mention from the club about the likelyhood of them doing any Europa away packages for us fans or is it every man (woman and child) for themselves sorting out our own transport, hotels etc as soon as the draw has been made.
I know other clubs do various travel packages for their fans but obviously this is virgin territory for club and fans alike for us lot.
Being looked into and will hopefully be released Friday afternoon once our opponents and dates are known. Some clubs won’t take fans unless they travel via the club.[/quote]
Eggy’s reet, what travel will be organised all depends on wherewho we will be playing.
28 August 2013 at 11:08 pm #120023If it is Tel Aviv that’s me out. I’ve got UAE visas in my passport :(
28 August 2013 at 11:49 pm #120027The firm I went to the millwall game @ Wembley with (coach innovations) will be putting trips on for the away games if they are reachable within 36-48 hours by coach.
They’ve been doing euro trips for years for numerous teams, were very good for Wembley, put you up in 4 star hotels, are very cheap And if you look at some of their past euro jaunts & once in mainland Europe you can drink alcohol on their coaches29 August 2013 at 12:35 am #120031I think there’s a plane just gone over your headWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH……………………..
Not really as the two are totally different. I understand you may be referring to the Bournemouth thread from last week in which case it’s still not a supporters club plane.
29 August 2013 at 3:31 am #120051Getting very very excited about Friday now. So much so that, even though I only need to wait till Friday for 3 teams, I’ve spent the last couple of evenings researching where each team left in the comp is from and how I might get there. I thought my knowledge of Europe was pretty good, but it’s been a real eyeopener. Below is the list that includes everyone already qualified, CL losers and the ties to be played Thurs night (I’ve left out Swansea and Spurs opponents as they’re all but gone).
Airports are based on travel from London, so may be different from Manchester/Liverpool. Some are also train-able. Some very tricky places to get to, esp. some which are a good 4-8 hours from the nearest airport by train/bus/car (based on rome2rio.com). I’d like to avoid the ‘stans, ‘ans and ia’s in the draw. Law of averages suggests 1 will be doable, 1 will be tricky and 1 will be dodgy (racist/hoolie/unstable).
Praying our first game, not the second, is away!

29 August 2013 at 12:41 pm #120061Although, I readily admit to not being as sad as Galactic ;) I have researched some places myself already.
Pretty sure you could get from Oporto to Guimares easier than from Lisbon. To be fair at first glance you’ll be travelling a lot longer from some of your first choice airports than I will! :P
All part of the fun

Theyve had to put another map on the Wikipedia place to show how far away Karagandy is and the other place through is in Bulgaria next to the Romanian border and Dracula is their manager29 August 2013 at 11:04 pm #120106One good thing about Wikipedia is that there is some nerd somewhere who always wants to be first to post an update, so within minutes of final whistle we have an update of who is in which pot.
This afternoon’s games have been played and now we know a bit more, and I daresay that as soon as the final whistle blows we’ll know exactly who is in which pot. A damn sight faster than BBC or any other website.
“Group stage” – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013%E2%80%9314_UEFA_Europa_League
Rubin Kazan, Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhter Karagandy anyone?

30 August 2013 at 1:52 am #120117As a result of some of these shocks tonight, we’ve scraped in to pot 2.
Good news for those wanting us to progress in the groups.
