Jacobs is below par?
Thought he had an excellent game with lots of effort and skill – his final decision making let him down.
And did you see that run near the end?
If that’s someone who is below par then I hope we keep on being below par.14 January 2018 at 12:21 am #165046Sorry fatfan but I disagree…..slow build up…poor final balls again..and again…..playing with the equivalent of 10 men.League is shit….Grumpy spot on….havent beaten the teams around us and they aren’t brilliant Posh and Shrewsbury twice Bradford and Rovers a total of 3pts out of 18.!!!so its a good job the ones outside top 6 are even worse.Shrews kicked us off the park does them a disservice……the fittest team in the league…worked every blade of grass and we strolled around for the first 45 and only got serious last 20 mins…..same against Charlton reserves.Sorry fatfan but I disagree…..slow build up…poor final balls again..and again…..
Isn’t that what I said worded different?
From Matlock to ManU

If that’s someone who is below par then I hope we keep on being below par.Compared to his first half to the season yes he’s below par. That run at the end was superb but that’s just one run. You can’t fault his effort and he’s still when below par miles better than Massey.
14 January 2018 at 12:40 am #165048Their corners and crosses were first class right in the danger zone and credit to our defence for not conceding Powers were shocking.

If that’s someone who is below par then I hope we keep on being below par.Agree. He ran himself into the ground. His biggest problem is that he doesn’t have a left foot. Mind you, if he did, he wouldn’t be playing for Wigan Athletic.
Just needs to improve his end product. Can’t fault him on effort.
14 January 2018 at 1:27 am #165052Shrewsbury deffo kicked us off the park wjether they covered every blade of grass or not.
Sides havent worked us out, we have just missed a panful of chances.
Cook out!! Panic!! WE’RE DOOMED!!!!!
14 January 2018 at 1:30 am #165053We have some idiots who watch us.We sure do

But surely the end product makes the player? All huff and puff or this and that without an end product is not good enough surely? An analogy. It’s like a master chef prepping and then producing a really good meal but not serving it up on a plate for the punters to enjoy! His shot into row Z of the South Stand was probably a hint to us why he doesn’t pull the trigger too often ;)
14 January 2018 at 12:03 pm #165062It would help Cracker and Massey if they swapped positions.
14 January 2018 at 1:42 pm #165077If we had taken our chances we would be 9 points clear now. Luckily we are still clear so hasn’t hampered us too much.
I don’t think teams have worked us out as such but we do need to be more clinical.
14 January 2018 at 4:36 pm #165082Strikers too lightweight….don’t work defenders enough.Hope we sign someone with some height and brawn until then we will continue to score eff all at home.

Jacobs final decision making always lets him down.
Fair to say Jacobs had one of his better games yesterday, effort wise. But he’s still bang average. Jacobs has no end product and too often in games he goes missing.
Personally, think he’s as bad as Massey but Massey doesn’t go missing which makes him more noticeable.14 January 2018 at 11:12 pm #165090Strikers too lightweight….don’t work defenders enough.Hope we sign someone with some height and brawn until then we will continue to score eff all at home. For a striker to work any defence MrB he needs the service and our front men (or man) just don’t get the service. So bringing in a big man up front will mean he needs someone to play alongside him to pick up the ball when he’s won it.
So many times yesterday we had two men out wide on each wing, on just Grigg in the middle on his own?
The job of a winger is to beat his man and then send a cross in, not pass it sideways or backwards.Great that we extended our lead at the top yesterday, but we definitely need a plan B for the home games.

14 January 2018 at 11:39 pm #165092If he totally goes missing then he wouldn’t do anything in the game to get himself noticed as b being sh! te.
