      Hi Jason,

There are a few grumblings and rightly so about the bridge over the canal and it feeling a bit dangerous getting over it after matches. (bottleneck, slippy, puddles and very badly lit).
I know it isn’t the responsibility of WAFC, but I think it needs bringing up with the Council by the Football Club before someone is seriusly injured.
Please let me know what you think and get back to me if possible.

      Cheers,

      Paul.

The issue has been raised with the council, Canal and Rivers Trust, plus internally at the DW STADIUM.
The Council did resurface it in 2014, so gives an indication it is their issue to deal with.
Canals and Rivers Trust have no involvement
The stadium doesn’t believe it is their issue.
I’ve raised it with Mal Brannigan and he has asked for the Council to do something or give reasons why they’re not doing.
Ill let you know when there is an update

That’s fantastic Jason, I’ll pass it on to those concerned. Thanks for your help with this.

      Cheers,

      Paul.

Bridge was terrible on Tuesday. Like a skating rink. One lad fell over and nearly knocked about 6 down the steps.

Still no update on this, and as we don’t have a CEO at the moment, probably not going to get anywhere. Plus in the Summer months, there is no danger issues apart from the youth that want to fight and push people about on there..

Sodexo (the catering company brought in by Mal Brannigan) has now had it’s contract terminated, and the catering will return to being run by the stadium.

This allows us to manage may things, including but not limited to:

          • Pricing
          • Suppliers (eg pies and beer)
          • Fan Zone
          • Hospitality
          • Faster feedback
          • Better equipment / more staff (less queues)

A thread has started here for your views, recommendations and ideas, which will be passed over to the Club for consideration.

Well lets see how the ‘in house’ catering offer looks tomorrow.

Fan zone will hopefully be as good as the other grounds that have them.

I am told the quality was better, but still slow and hugely overpriced.

A 2/10 from me and that was because peas and gravy were on a £ more, but the pies are way too expensive so I didn’t bother.

Guinness at £7 a pint isn’t too bad, but I wasn’t risking it as they ruin girly water (Lager) in the stadium so there is no chance the Guinness would be kept well.
