7 November 2015 at 1:41 pm #145641Never once looked fit or interested while he’s been here.
That’s a bit unfair egg, did you see him put his body on the line diving head long for the first goal at Bury? That forced own goal got us back in the game and allowed us to eventually secure a good away point.
What I’ve seen when he plays, is someone who has been injured for a long period and is desperately trying to impress in the short cameos he has been given. He is “over trying” in my opinion. However, I can see how fans feel that he he doesn’t give a shyte, the way he turns up on match days with his tracky on laughing and joking with the players, I think its just he’s character.
I suppose I’m on the fence with the whole Holt situation, would not complain if he stays and wouldn’t be too upset if he left.

What a journey!7 November 2015 at 2:08 pm #145642Holt is just another in a long list of wasted Latics strikers. At least now we are starting to see midfield players getting up there to support the striker. Shame he wasn’t up there to support Grigg today. Find this crazy with Grigg away on holiday duty and Coulthirst gone that Holt has been allowed to play at an higher level. Couldn’t this just have been left until after the bloody Rochdale game.

Dear me JR, u have just picked out Holts one and only decent effort for WAFC and still sit on the fence about him???
A Norwich fan laughed at me when we bought him, saying he was sh ! te and were welcome to him… A bad player bought by a bad manager!8 November 2015 at 6:18 pm #145674Never once looked fit or interested while he’s been here.

I’ve done it myself, is it not just a bit of that going on with the Norwich fans?
He had some fantastic times at Norwich, scoring 68 goals in 154 games. That doesn’t warrant being called shyte, especially when a lot of those goals were score in the prem.
Grant Holt has played just 17 times for Wigan scoring 3 goals, how can you possibly come to a conclusion that he is a shyte player. He has been shyte at keeping injury free whilst he has been with us, that conclusion can definitely be made. From Matlock to ManU

Wow!!!
Holt was a lump when we got him and hasn’t give a shite for us.Confused.com

Yer there again jumping in big gob!
Tavernier and Waghorn were not considered to be good enough to play week in week out, despite being available for selection.
Holt has been injured for most of his time with us. Can you see the suckle difference brorth brain. From Matlock to ManU

He’s done nawt for us, jack ****.
Now I’ve had a look at Wiki also, and most of his goals for Norwich were scored in League 1 & the Championship, not the Prem. However, his record in the prem would make him our best ever scorer, when we were there!
We bought him at the wrong end of his career JR, that is my point. No doubt he had some ability when he was younger, but as Tez says, he’s not bothered about Wigan, just his wage packet! Surely you can see that, even through your blue tinted glasses :pinch:

9 November 2015 at 1:33 am #145685So he had a ratio of 2.26 games per goal at Norwich, and a ratio of 5.66 games per goal with us. Clearly he has still got it !
Not even in the lower leagues :)
