Its got to he said, some supporters on here should bow their heads in shame when they look back at their posts this season.
We all deserve an opinion but the pure vitriol directed at Paul Cook and the players at times has been ridiculous to say the least.
Having been struck by injuries to literally the full forward line for most of the season and to throw away point after point due to individual errors, its been a hard season for the club. Despite that they have achieved their goal and retained championship status with points to spare. We have NEVER been in the bottom 3.
So please let this be a lesson to some supporters you know who you are, by all means have a go when things are not going for us, but understand it just doesnt do any good coming on here with the hatred demonstrated by you at 5pm every time we lose.
Paul Cook and his backroom staff are rookies at this level, with the injury situation on top, he has had a baptism of fire, but to his credit he has achieved his pre-season goal, with 2 games to spare.
Let’s sit back and enjoy the last 2 games, have a relaxing break and come back fully charged to get behind our team, whoever is in charge or whoever is on the pitch.
Well done Paul Cook, well done the players and well done to all those supporters who stuck behind the lads despite that horrendous away record. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!22 April 2019 at 10:01 pm #178340Wouldnt say theres hatred or vitriol, some strong opinions but everyones entitled to that.
22 April 2019 at 10:05 pm #178342Somebody kick his soap box from under him. I’m the 1st to congratulate and man enough to praise when it’s due….you for 1 still are a happy clapper …garden always rosie….never critical .You should hang your head in shame for your intolerance of anyone’s view bar your own……..well said crammy.
22 April 2019 at 10:20 pm #178347Wouldnt say theres hatred or vitriol, some strong opinions but everyones entitled to that. Some obviously don’t think you should have an opinion.
22 April 2019 at 10:21 pm #178348Thought you would know who you are, I mentioned no names but you have come on defending yourself.
I could have chosen to be more damning, but didn’t feel the need. No soap box pal just saying it as it is.
You have been a total disgrace to your club, there are opinions and shear contempt, you and a few others may I add, have over stepped the mark and if it had gone tits up you would have been on here again at 5pm giving it Loads.
Well it didn’t work out that way and you must be feeling pretty silly now.
A couple of positive posts when you couldn’t do anything but, doesn’t change what you have posted this season.
Try and grow up for next season and see the bigger picture.
Now that was me on my soap box. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!22 April 2019 at 10:24 pm #178350Just enjoy the moment folks you’ve done enough bickering all season. Time to chill now and fingers crossed if the board back Cook he may get to bring in quality for next season.
22 April 2019 at 10:32 pm #178351I’ve said my piece got it off my chest and enjoying the moment.

What a journey!22 April 2019 at 10:36 pm #178352Its been good to have the different options, glad its all worked out as I felt we were doomed after Hull.
Gonna enjoy the summer now and roll on next season.22 April 2019 at 11:01 pm #178358Some of the players and the manager will have learned a lot about themselves this season. The likes of Byrne, Massey, Morsey, Dunks and Windass hopefully will progress next season. We need a couple of old heads and 4-5 young uns like the two we are looking at from Barnsley. Give a couple of our Dev squad a taste of first team action to see if they can step up.
Should make for an interesting campaign. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!22 April 2019 at 11:31 pm #178360Far be it that I should be complaining but the next two games will be a bit of an anticlimax.

Absolutely.
The beer and whiskey currently being consumed are testament to that.23 April 2019 at 12:12 am #178368We need a couple of old heads and 4-5 young uns like the two we are looking at from Barnsley.Who are the Barnsley players we are looking at ?
Also if (as seems likely) Barnsley come up, why would we be a better option than staying put ….where they are already (presumably) in the team ?

Well done Paul Cook, well done the players and well done to all those supporters who stuck behind the lads despite that horrendous away record.Utter bollocks, I like alot on here will moaned like fook when we play like tossers and the manager hasn’t a clue and putting up with players who didn’t give a flying fcuk about us.
I will also praise them for getting 7 points out of 9 and keeping us up.
Hang our heads in shame ?? pmsl. By the sounds of it happy tamazzy clapper you need to get down the training ground about 2ish and give Cook a soapy wet one then nosh the team off cause most won’t be here next season.23 April 2019 at 12:57 am #178373Tonight is a night to be proud of the boys achieving the season’s goal.
There will be inquests into why the away form was so awful, questions asked (probably not answered) about selection and tactics, about the sale of Willy Grigg etc, but tonight is not the night to be at each other’s throats, tonight is a night to be proud of our club, proud to have proved the critics wrong yet again, proud to be the Latics
