In ten years under Moyes, Everton never won once at Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. Martinez has done it the first attempt!
It seems clear enough to me;
Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal OR Chelsea, not Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal AND Chelsea.
So Roberto has already exceeded David Moyes’ achievements at Everton.
“Bah,” said Scrooge, “Humbug.”
“As good as gold,” said Bob, “and better.”
12 December 2013 at 11:23 am #124729Regardless of lack of funds or quality players, being relegated is still considered to be failure where managers are concerned and that is why so many get potted shortly after taking their teams down despite being in a similar state clubwise as we were !
That’s where Roberto is different – he’s gone on to greater things!
Poppycock? He’s already done something that Moyes never could – taken Everton to a victory at one of the Big Four. It’s actually the first time that Everton have won at Old Trafford since 1992!
If you enjoy watching good football, why not sit back and enjoy it? Or are you preparing for the part of Scrooge?
I said poppycock to your claim below ! Only the Utd bit is right.They drew with Arsenal away, drew with Liverpool at home and beat Chelsea at home. Your quote below suggests that they have beaten all 4 away !
“It’s not just what Everton did, it’s the way that they did it. In ten years under Moyes, Everton never won once at Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. Martinez has done it the first attempt”!
In which case I think he has peaked too soon. It’s all downhill from here !!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:
12 December 2013 at 2:24 pm #124732Unfortunately for us, Coyle peaked at Burnley.
I don’t think Roberto has quite exhausted his luck yet. You can get 16-1 for Everton to win the Cup. Roberto to retain the Cup – that could be worth a tenner.

So you do admit that Bobby is running on Luck.
13 December 2013 at 2:21 pm #124763I admit nothing! I’m just trying to get this thread up to 500 posts by Christmas.
It’s time to post your Christmas cards to Bob. It looks like being a Happy New Year for him.

Did Özil not score ! Barry clattered into him badly twice, the second time earned him a yellow the dirty bastard ! I would say that Özil won the battle again ! :) Now go and polish your shoes for your next gig ! ;)
14 December 2013 at 3:07 am #124781Roberto certainly had a smile on his face. Arsenal, top of the table by four points, and he came away with a draw!
Interesting fixtures at the top of the table this weekend;
Man City v Arsenal
Spurs v Liverpool
Newcastle v SouthamptonSome teams must drop points. Everton are at home to Fulham tomorrow for anyone at a loose end.

I’ll rely on the Statoes to correct me on this; but Fulham was always one of those average teams that we never seemed to get the better of under Bobby Martinez, can’t remember beating them at home ( never mind away ).
14 December 2013 at 2:22 pm #124788We all live in hope!
