A difficult match for Roberto when he goes back to Swansea on Sunday, but a win could take Everton into the top four.

There could be new league leaders after the weekend. Liverpool and Man City face Cardiff and Fulham while Arsenal play Chelsea on Monday.

To add to WGTB’s tally…

I can’t understand why the term Judas is banded about regarding Martinez.

He never promised to stay with Wigan forever, and it was generally accepted that he’d be moving on to bigger and better things in the near future. Also it’s not as if he moved to Bolton or a recognised close rival of ours.

So why is he Judas?

All he did was move to a bigger club because the right opportunity came up. By all accounts, it was a deal brokered well before we were relegated so it’s not exactly a case of him jumping ship because we’d gone down. Stay up or go down, he was leaving anyway.

Plus, most of those calling him Judas had wanted him replaced for the past three seasons anyway.

So, go on someone, explain why the term Judas is used?

In all honesty, I think most managers could have kept us there with the resources and more importantly the backing he received from D Whelan.

The backing he received from D Whelan?

He had to reduce the wage bill by 25%!
That still left him with a budget big enough to keep us in the PL.
The backing I was referring to was more along the lines of ‘I won’t sack him no matter what happens’ which is virtually what DW said.
He may have had a few restraints, but the lack of any pressure from above at all more than made up for that.
Spot on again Horc.
Do you two just pat each other on the back?

Just because we don’t suck ass with you and the rest of Bobbys little chums, it doesn’t mean we can’t agree with one and others opinions from time to time.

PS. Have you asked the same question to Griff, Standish and Barnsley ??

LHL has explained in depth many times his reasons for thinking Bobby is a Judas, you can troll back through the posts if you like, or maybe he might explain again when he next visits the site if he can be arsed.
We’ll leave it up to him eh.

I’m stil waiting for him to explain how he “knows” that the “only” reason we won the FA Cup is because Martinez told them to go out and don’t worry about losing and “not to play that boring shit I normally ask you to play”

I’m not holding my breath though – he’s doing nothing on this thread to disuade me from my view that he’s full of shit.

I’m sure he will reply to both if he deems them worthy of a reply.

BTW, your last comment is a little harsh, but I’m sure the feeling is mutual!!

To be fair, I forgot the winky smiley thing!! It was a bit tongue in cheek.

That said, it’s not a case of whether he deems it worthy or a reply. It’s a debating forum, you’re supposed to back up your opinions/allegetaions/”facts” when questioned – unless you’re full of shit, of course.

Well done for fighting his corner though – “suck ass” was the phrase I believe you used.

B) :( :) :cheer: ;) :P       :silly:   :woohoo: :S

I have been sat/stood with LHL for about 40 years now at the Latics, so we do know each other pretty well.
Not well enough to have sucked his ass, or any other part of his anatomy I hastened to add.

I’ve just looked it up and the definition of a Judas is “someone who brokers a deal with another club when the club who is still paying his wages are fighting relegation”
