17 May 2014 at 11:23 am #131230Roberto has left an indelible mark on Wigan’s history, while Owen’s time here will soon be forgotten.
Is that why we have a thread devoted to bringing Roberto down but none for Owen?
The difference is that we loved Bobby and he supposedly loved Wigan; then he pissed off when he got us into a mess. Whereas not many of the Wigan following really wanted Owen in the first place and so there was not much reciprocal love on which to build a lasting relationship. The thread is merely asking a question and encouraging opinion. So this season, Bobby was fortunate. So next season will he prosper further or fail ?

18 May 2014 at 2:35 am #131266Good news for Roberto! Barcelona lose title race – they may well be looking for a new manager.
900 up; now on to 1,000. We’ll get there in no time at this rate!

I can’t see Barcelona going for an unproven manager with such a poor track record.
One Cup Final win is no achievement when overshadowed by a top flight relegation and five failed attempts at Champions League football in a League were there are so many CL spots up for grabs.18 May 2014 at 3:41 am #131268Yes, but he is Catalan.
18 May 2014 at 3:46 am #131269Stranger things have happened I suppose, but being Barcelona, they have really got a choice of anyone they want.
18 May 2014 at 4:05 am #131270Roberto will be at Everton next season and guess what, he’ll win um didley squat again. The man is too nice and doesn’t listen to people who are wise to the EPL.
Keep going with your bed time patterns, training patterns, eating habbits, whatever but you need someone to get a grip and add to your technical ability. Liverpool have stole your thunder and will do so as long as you are in charge.

Surely Barcelona could have done better than that!

Think Barcelona B team and also think who Pep Guardiola managed prior to taking over the reins for Barcelona’s senior squad!
22 May 2014 at 3:41 pm #131397So you think that Enrique will take Barcelona above Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid next season?
I doubt it myself. I think Bobby would have more chance.
This thread is going to run and run!
22 May 2014 at 4:00 pm #131399It’s the same as when Moyes took over Man U except Enrique has world class players who know they are good as opossedd to Man U who just think they are
23 May 2014 at 10:37 pm #131442Two teams from La Liga will be playing in the Champions League final tomorrow.
Barcelona isn’t one of them.
