12 December 2016 at 2:07 am #153021Believe me JR fans like Lostock are true blue and breathe WAFC and for 99% of the time are like yourself and would not even criticise the club so for Lostock and others saying this the tether is very much at the end with how we play the game.
Really? He been bangin this drum for 5 year pal. Does noute but whinge like everyone else on here. 442 this 442 that. Didnt play it last year did we!!!
12 December 2016 at 2:34 am #153024If you don’t want to give this mon a chance then fair enough. I’ll start ranting after he’s had a shop window to make an impact, in the meantime feel free to spit your dummies out! :P
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!12 December 2016 at 2:42 am #153025Believe me JR fans like Lostock are true blue and breathe WAFC and for 99% of the time are like yourself and would not even criticise the club so for Lostock and others saying this the tether is very much at the end with how we play the game.

We might not have played with two strikers much last season, but at least we played with one. This 5 defenders and five midfielders malarky is just bollox.
We have scored just 16 goals (lowest in the league) in 20 matches this season and have a striker on the bench that got nearly double that on his own last season. Sort it out you Yootha before you drive the few fans we have away. This negative, non attacking bilge is boring the tits off us.12 December 2016 at 2:59 am #153026Lostock, Its only loyalty that I am going. Ive packed in going away. I’m not spending good money to have my day ruined. When Joyce realises people come to be entertained You wouldn’t pay to go and watch your favourite band only for them to mime the whole show would you?
Belle Vue on Friday nights from March :)
BRING BACK SPEEDWAY TO WIGAN ;)I really hope we start playing well and winning games again, so that fans like you will start watching them again.
I’ll let you all know when it happens.
I fekin despair!
Why do you despair jr? You try making so many fundamental mistakes as Joyce is in your job marrer and see how long you last. You cannot blame fans for being mad and upset. No fan of any club will go knowing the chance of seeing your beloved team win is being drastically reduced by the manager playing lads out of position and ignoring your best strike option. Will Grigg has not become a bad player overnight more likely the fact is that this boring anti-football we have adopted simply doesn’t suit the lad. Like Ali, LHL I have watched this club all my life with pride and fulfilment and its been only the last few years that has been really hard to take. Needless as well coz it has just been down to bad managers. Still fed up and upset.
I think the last few have been tough to take because 8 years in the Prem has led people to believe we are actually a big club. We probably shouldn’t be in this league really once you take away the parachutes and we rely on what income we actually make.
I think the lads complaining on here go a lot further back than the greed league. Thirty or forty years and more. The last four years of that era was garbage anyway bar a few desperate run ins when we reverted back to playing the Latics way.12 December 2016 at 3:28 am #153027Lostock, Its only loyalty that I am going. Then there’s those who think we could have made it without Whelan.
12 December 2016 at 10:35 am #153029Can’t speak for them Egg but yes Egg like you I have no delusions of who we are and I am proud of our humble roots and have enjoyed upsetting the applecart and snapping at the heels of the mighty and ones that think they are mighty for all the years I have supported our club.
I am under no disalusionment either about what Dave Whelan has done for our club.
Lostock Hall and Horc have shown even more love for our club and that is just me pointing out how some are getting fed up now of the football they are having dished out to them.12 December 2016 at 11:45 am #153030i think joyce is doing best he can with what he has trying to limit the damage untill january
then he can bring in his own players be it loan from manureHe isn’t doing his best with what he has though is he, our top scorer on the bench every week for no reason, and i can’t get my head around this “limit the damage” malarkey!
Fuck the EFL
12 December 2016 at 12:43 pm #153031This one up front shit has been going on for years now and fans are getting pissed off with it,I was hoping Joyce would come in and give us some adventurous attacking football to watch.
So far what he has served up aint too clever, not playing Grigg makes him out to be clueless, what is it with modern managers that only revert to attacking football once the game looks lost?
12 December 2016 at 1:33 pm #153032When Grigg came on against Derby we looked a completely different side, a much improved side at that and he almost got us a point! To not start with a recognised striker at home and have 3 on the bench is a new one on me? It sends out a very negative message!

Ok quite simple goal differance will be a key factor come end of season by trying to deffend best we can untill he gets chance to bring in his own players to play the way he wants
By not giving many goals away wil give us a better chance later to stay up simple really12 December 2016 at 2:45 pm #153036i think joyce is doing best he can with what he has trying to limit the damage untill january

12 December 2016 at 3:08 pm #153038Bickymon, shouldn’t the onus also be on scoring goals as well as not conceding?
Fuck the EFL
12 December 2016 at 3:20 pm #153039Bickymon, shouldn’t the onus also be on scoring goals as well as not conceding?Good comeback buddy that. Nice one.
12 December 2016 at 3:51 pm #153040Massive risk employing a reserve team manager to take charge of a relegation threatened team .No comparison managing a team of talented youngsters in a meaningless league where results don’t count for anything. Not the time to be experimenting with this no striker crap.Looked better when Grigg on against Derby but setting up for a 0-0 draw and getting nothing is failure. If he continues with this totally negative bollocks then we will be relegated.Posters on here before Derby were hoping for 4pts in next 3….wont get 4pts more all season if he doesn’t stop arsing around and go out to try to WIN games.Christ ,what was Sharpe thinking when giving a managerial no-mark a 3 1/2 year deal ?If that’s what it took to prise him away from Utd then should have looked elsewhere.
12 December 2016 at 4:41 pm #1530444 out of 20 teams in the Premier League play with 2 central strikers (Leicester, Bournemouth, Hull and Sunderland)
9 out of 24 teams in the Championship also play with two strikers (Barnsley, Blackburn, Brighton, Bristol City, Burton, Cardiff, Ipswich, Preston, and Rotherham)
I bet the rest of them are cursing that idiot Martinez for inventing lone striker formations using Jason Scotland.
