…still backing this mon to see us right?

We’ve gone from bad to worse to shambolic. Should never have been appointed, should never have been kept on past Xmas.
New manager and new team syndrome have yielded a massive 2 points in the first 3 games respectively.

Whelan and Jackson: thees med a right balls up of this. Please stop it whilst there’s still a faint glimmer of an escape…

Been a balls up since the shambolic pre-season last July. Crap preparation, swapping and changing teams and formations, inconsistency ,attitude, lack of commitment and on and on.

It’ll go quiet now on here (but they’ll be lurking) or folk will change their tune and hope it isn’t noticed.

The ones who bought the spiel from Malky and his happy bunch, “it’ll be alright once we get rid of those who don’t want to play for us” (the best players, the ones worth something).

The ones who said give Coyle a chance, despite who he was and what he was. Some said live and let live when Maurice was made a director. Give Rosler a chance, it’s the players.

They’re guilty as charged when they gave up on the values of the club and it’s fans from past and present. Wouldn’t matter a jot if we’d never been in the Prem or never won the FA Cup, the above should never have been happening. Too many involved in the club now that have lost what we are really about, when it comes down to it.

Sack him now, give us a modicum of hope with an appointment of a Latics mon, give us some momentum. FFS even Dougie Freedman is 2 from 2 now!

Sack him now and appoint as you say “a Latics mon” what like fookin Barrow, brilliant plan.

I’m going to wait more than two games before I chastise our new signings, but I will agree that time is running out.

Most of you wanted Coyle sacked, Mr Whelan obliged and your wish came true. You then wanted Rosler sacked and yet again Mr Whelan granted your wish and now your screaming blue murder again. Yet despite all this it is Mr Whelans fault

AAAAARRRGGGGGHHHH, You’re missing the obvious bit that he appointed them in the first place!!!

McKay shouldn’t be here full stop. I’d sack him and appoint Pey Atherton and Joe Parky or Nigel Adkins or Graeme Jones, even Paul Jewell to the end of the season.

It’s a better plan than your wait and see, still.

What do we do if that doesn’t work?

How many times do we pay Managers off?

And that’s the problem Egg. It’s impossible to tell if it will work until it’s too late.

McKay should never have been appointed. He has too much baggage. But he’s here and I was willing to give him a chance.

Coyle was doomed from the start simply because of the Bolton connection. Rosler on the other hand got off to a great start and most people though he was an inspired appointment.

Just goes to show how quickly things can change.

As for last night. I can only presume he didn’t play three of his new signings as he though the team showed promised at the weekend and wanted to keep a settled side. Whatever the reason, it backfired.

But I still don’t go for this ‘get anyone in’ idea. Considering everyone thinks we are doomed already, what’s the point of paying half a million quid to get rid of McKay and bring in an unproven alternative to take us down as McKay would have done anyway?

If we were to preplace him it would at least have to be someone who might stand a good chance of turning things around and/or build for next season – and at present I can’t think of anyone.

Momentum Standish, if we continue at this rate with him at the helm, we could continue to sink without trace. We’ve already done enough of that.

If Dougie Freedman can go in and turn Forest round, I think anyone bar Malky could get a response for us. £500k (if that’s the figure) is a drop in the ocean compared to some of the money wasted in recent times.

It’s not like we’ve not got a bit of coin knocking about is it? ;)

we need the freshest of fresh starts a club of any nature has needed in a very long time, more so even than when Coyle and Rosler went. We’re in John Benson, Kenny Swain territory here but at least our support offered resistance then, now as a larger group we seem to just accept it and say ‘what good will it do’?

If Villa start winning under a new mon the point will be proven beyond doubt that a new manager wins games, because they are rat.

When we go down there will be another mass exodus of players and fans alike! Then the stadium will be bought by some overweight men in tight shorts, just you wait and see! We will be the lodgers then but only for so long because we all know how they treated us in the past!
The speed of this collapse is uncanny seeing as it isn’t money related like the capitulation of other sides in the past was who dropped this quickly? I am quite shocked at how some fans on here are taking it as if it is to be expected when statistical proof says otherwise! Something stinks of shit to me!

                        Where is the statistical proof?

Which club smaller than us or on a similar budget have achieved what we have and continue to punch above their weight a decade later?

Which of these clubs are in the solid financial state that we are?

Because we’ve punched above our weight we should now just be shat on and go back to where we belong, accept it and shut up?

Some people, who claim to support this club beggar belief.

The fact I support the club is why I don’t want us to throw money at a situation by buying players and sacking managers and such like.

I don’t always agree with what goes on at the club, but I’m not going to vent my spleen and make banners and such like because I have little to no say as to what goes on.

We are Wigan Athletic. We have less than 12000 fans. We have little to no income from anything other than TV money that can be put towards wages. When we were in the PL I think it was 90% of our income went on wages.

Despite all of this we are in profit and either make a small profit or break even every year. Yes I loved us being in the top flight and I loved us winning the cup and being in Europe etc etc.

Am I prepared to risk the future of the club, my club, for it? No. If that means I don’t support the club then I guess I’m just a fat Ellgren wearing egg chaser.
