I’m thrilled we’ve got Jedi signed, its quite a statement of intent. When did we last spend so much on a defender?
17 July 2019 at 6:46 am #179643Not seen anything concrete to confirm it yet, so let’s not get too excited.
Lowe, Robinson, a decent right back, another striker (not Clarke) and maybe a centre half and that should give us a decent squad to build around.Right back: another tip/scouting report from USA – would love to see Wigan sign Reggie Cannon – but, he probably doesn’t qualify for work permit yet. He’s looked really good in brief international callups (start vs Mexico), and would likely be cheap right now. Also would have loved to see/too bad Wigan couldn’t secure goalkeeper Zack Steffen on loan (Man City sent to Fortuna Dusseldorf). US may not export much talent; but, we generally do goalkeepers well – and he has potential to be the best.
20 July 2019 at 2:28 pm #179694Are we ever going to sign the lad, why do we always take forever to get deals through. We must have missed out on countless players down the years due to fannying about and not securing transfers.
20 July 2019 at 4:15 pm #179696Agree…..another week nearer the start and another blank.

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!20 July 2019 at 6:06 pm #179700That could be the case…….The Lowe one has rumbled on all this window and Jackett adamant that they have received no bid ….even states the lad might be even considering going nowhere. Then again they have just signed a winger from Burton …..his replacement ???
20 July 2019 at 9:12 pm #179701Beginning to think its all been a load of rubbish, and he is gambling on what we have up front.
If so, he is a bloody fool, and if it goes wrong, I hope they arent all day in acting.
Sorry now, no disrespect, but we should be beating Bradford, not scraping a draw off them. We are not good enough.
20 July 2019 at 10:52 pm #179702It’s pre season FFS. Accrington Stanley beat Marseille last week.

We should be beating Bradford. We smashed Chester, lost to Fylde, drew with Bradford.
At the moment, we are basically a decent league one side, but not a decent Championship side.Well thats MY opinion. You can have your own, but thats what mine is.
21 July 2019 at 5:02 am #179706Losing at Fylde was no disgrace and neither was drawing at Bradford they are probably both at our level squad wise.

No. We are a Championship side because that is the division we will play in when the season starts. These results will have no bearing on how our season goes one bit just like in the PL days when we won every friendly then usually lost our first 6 or 7 league games.
Not like your opinion to be erratic and slightly premature I suppose.

And here’s mine VAT. Relax my acquaintance. It is PRE-SEASON! Nobody busts a gut in pre season. They are simply warm up matches to get the blood pumping. To get fit for the new season.
And as for we should be beating Bradford, I assume man city fans said the same 2 seasons ago in the fa cup when we were actually a league 1 side. Nobody has a God given right to beat anyone.

And its not like you in the slightest to not like someone else having an alernate view or different opinion.
Especially me. Now grow up and pack in with the sniping. Its easy when you are sat behind a keyboard, but if you really have that much of a problem with me, I am all for a face to face discussion about it. Make yourself known to me, as you seek to know me so very well.
And then I will walk away STILL with my own opinion about things. Thats because we are in a democracy, and are allowed to.

21 July 2019 at 1:30 pm #179713I’m sure Cookie will be sorting this deal over a couple of pints and a blue WKD as soon as the pubs open.
